I agree of course that in parts it is a business proposal and a chance for all of them to increase their bank balances, but Phil Oakey is clearly not a take that fan and it also looks like he is looking for some headlines to plug human league new album. Rule the world, patience, back for good, never forget, a million love songs and pray are all great tracks and are far from rubbish. I totally accept Take That are not everyones cup of tea but there is no denying the band have talent whether you like it or not.

Again i totally disagree that Take That have not made a decent full album as a whole until progress, it is my belief that progress is a great album and a worthy follow up to an even better album before it, for me i adore the circus its a great album and one i enjoy from start to finish with greatest day probably the weakest on the album although i still like it, beautiful world is also a very good album as a whole, there earlier album i enjoy in parts but the albums since they re united are far superior.

As for the whole re union as i have said before, i wish people could accept it for what it is, take that as four and robbie on his own basicaly dont give a fig about what peopple think or the fans if the truth is known, the tours, the music, the dvds are all made to make money and us as fans simply have to decide if any of them are worth spending our hard earned money on. Furthermore, as i have always said i dont care about robbie re joining or what the reasons are, my concern is the music. Them coming together as 5 has worked for me as im very happy with progress and the flood would rank high in my favourite take that songs of all time.

At the end of the day robbie is back with take that for now, most of here seem to be enjoying the music produced from the re union so i think we need to stop questioning the raesons behind it and simply enjoy it for as short or long as it lasts.

I know there are plenty of people waiting patiently for this to crumble and robbie walk out but until that happens (if it ever does) i wouldnt waste my time looking at every performance and nit picking to see does any little move they make indicate on stage that robbie feels better than the rest of them or vice versa.

I agree 'Aphrodite' , I choose to ignore the nit-picking <_< ....I did not think I would like anything by Take That but I love this album , it really works , its different & totally unexpected .

I know this is a nit-pick! But Cleo ... would you have even bothered listening to the album if it wasn't for Rob being involved?

I like all types of music & download songs all the time on iTunes , I like many of the songs from this particular album as it happens to be the type of tracks that I go for . I cannot say it is anything to do with Robbie Williams in particular. I happen to like Marks voice on the album & I actually think that some of the tracks would not have worked as well if he was not on those particular tracks.

I do not like The Flood ...dreary !!!

I would not have bought Take That's last two albums , I have heard them in full but they do nothing for me ( except for the song Said It All which is really nice )

I agree! I'm actually starting to like Shame more than The Flood! Well ... at least I don't switch Shame off when it comes on the radio any more!

I don't have to switch Shame off as it NEVER comes on the radio in this country

Cant speak for the UK but shame gets decent airplay in ireland or at lesat it did a few weeks back, the flood is always on the radio though here

Not on the local radio stations & they get a huge amount of listeners ...

I have heard The Flood a lot ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

SCD performance tonight. Another strong perofrmance. A bit more movement which is good :D

I wish Gary would stop that 'grabbing' thing he does with his hands. It is so 70's cabaret!

I thought Rob was good on that (totally forgot to watch it tonight so thanks for the youtube link). It really is just a Robbie song though isn't it? Truthfully ... there is no need for the other four.

SOS should be better ... at least we'll get to hear a bit more from 'ickle Mark.

OMFG they are so good. I've seen so many performances of the flood right now and each and every single one was amazing so far! They are the best.

Another fantastic performance of the flood on the x factor final, im loving this song more and more by the day, with a strictly semi performance and an x factor final performance the floos will hopefully stay top 15 next week which going well could possibly add 30,000+ to its tally.

The x factor performance final was brilliant, and i completly diagree robbie could do it without the 4, the flood distictly has a good gary bit in it and howard aswell, i really dont get why people think its like a robbie song with 4 backing singers, as for me gary and howard play a huge part in it aswell as robbie.

The flood should do well sales wise this coming week after such brilliant promo over the weekend.

Gary ok... but Howard?

I love the flood but singing it again after two weeks on the same show? As if they don't have any other songs...

Looks like 'The flood' will have sold over 300k by the end of the week :cheer: (which means it will definitely do at least 400k total, could even be 500k)

I did enjoy their performance on X Factor last night. Much more relaxed. Although I noticed Robbie has now managed to find his way to the centre of the line up....

Never forgive him for urging us all to 'phone for One Dimension' to win though :puke2:

Apparantly they had planned to sing KIDZ (which is a strong indicator its the next single) but the dancers and dance routines werent appropraite with what happened in london and simon cowell didnt think it would be approriate,so they at the last minute decided to sing the flood instead.

The flood is roughly on 256,000 sales now and all going well that total will rise to around 280,000 this week. I think overall the flood will manage somewhere between 350,000- 400,000.

Due to it being #6 (with a 150% sales increase compared tot his time last week) in the midweeks - and an increase in overall sales - I think it could pass 300K mark this week. Don't forget they willl sing it on the Royal Variety Performance screened on Thursday so another boost. I can see it selling over 400K in total with ease.

The x factor effect will waer of now so it will probably drop to number 11 or #12 but the royal variety will boost it again and hopefully keep it in those regions, i cant see the flood remaining top 10 on sunday but it wont be far off, although i would love to be wrong and see it back in the top 10. Either way sales will be good and i agree it will be very close to 300,000 this week.
