'Express Yourself' has been listed as one of Billboard's most empowering anthems:

"Express Yourself" - Madonna

Originally written as a feminist anthem about independence, Madonna's 1989 dance-floor standard has since become synonymous with self-love and holding oneself in high regard. The song's lyrics directly address women and urge them to not settle for men who don't treat them like the queens that they are. In the years following the song's release, it has been embraced by Madonna's gay fans around the world and has simultaneously become an anthem of personal expression and female empowerment.

From OCC's "songs that were never singles in the UK" article:

Her Madgesty has never been afraid to switch things up and release different singles all over the place to keep things interesting. She released Oh Father in the UK five years after everyone else got it, and Dear Jessie never saw the light of day in the States.

One of her most successful US hits not to get a shot at the UK charts is Keep It Together, a Billboard Top 10. By the time it was released, Madge had got bored of her Like A Prayer album and swiftly shunted the UK on to Vogue, relegating Keep It Together to the B-side. Bye Bye Baby, from the Erotica album, got a release in Italy, making the Top 10, and Australia where it made the Top 20. How would it have done in the UK? We'll never know. :(

Not too fussed about 'Keep It Together' and 'Bye Bye Baby' not being UK singles - it's 'Nothing Fails' that would be the biggie for me. I also think it's a shame 'Everybody' never received an official release; I can understand why it wasn't released here originally but I think what with a few of her singles receiving re-releases in the 80s and early 90s, it would have been a good opportunity to make it a hit.

Bye Bye Baby should not have been a single anywhere !!

My least fav M song .

We haven't really done anything for ROL turning 20.
I have stuff in mind, don't worry, will have a discuss with Bal when I'm at home. The album's birthday hasn't passed yet.

Patrick Leonard has revealed on instagram that he is going to release an album of songs he and Madonna worked on:

I’m making a solo record of songs M and I wrote together inspired by the fan response to the show I did at Joe’s pub last Sept. I’m having a great time with it and I think you M fans will love it. Madonna is not here. #oldsongsmadenew #michaelverdic #billbotrell #guypratt #illremember

I loved watching the clips of his gig last year where he performed renditions of Madonna songs he worked on (you can see them in this thread) so I'm looking forward to hearing studio versions!

He also confirmed that he is not working on new music with Madonna, despite fan speculation/wishing.

Just stumbled across this - I can't at Corrie's Audrey Roberts dancing to 'Material Girl'!

Support ghosttown and masterpiece in the best flop single thread :0

The best cover of any Madonna song ever tbh:

'Frozen' really translates well to symphonic metal - the ingredients are already there in the original with the high vocals and tense atmosphere.

Clean Bandit joined Dermot O'Leary on his Radio 2 show earlier this month, performing a cover of Madonna's 'Hung Up' as well as their own song 'Solo'.

You can hear their version here from 12:35.

I find this cover really lifeless. :( It's not just the session singers either, the production just does nothing for me. Shame as I am usually a fan of Clean Bandit's stuff.

I wonder if this is a response to Madonna singing solo on instagram.
