She sort of can sing I suppose but it has a nasally quality to it I find, it's adequette but there's plenty of girls out there who could equal and ceraintly better her in that departement. It's in the same manner as Pixie Lott really, who just like Katie, I dont think I'd really be able to sit through more than a performance or two without wanting to throw bricks at her.

 

I sense a recurring theme her between me, Katie and me doing damage to her. I'm not a woman-beater. Honest.

I really like Konnie Huq and she seems very nice, but im really missing Holly. :(

Not just opinion ... she can't sing. Well ... she can a ... little bit. But if you put it to the test 90% of the population can sing. She's nothing special and I hope to goodness she goes before half-way through. I'd like her to stay in for that long though for the entertainment value.

I completly agree with you Jamie although i have to say she isnt my favourite there is about 6-7 acts well below her aswell.

I could never understand why they bother with the dreadful group performances. Surely it's universally agreed their $h!tness probably causes mass suicide?

And by god, seeing them all on stage together makes you realise theres hundreds of the bloody things aswell.

 

100% in agreement. The group performances are absolutely DREADFUL, and surely SOMEONE in the production team must have twigged that having all the contestants painfully mime their way through a cheesetastic performance is the BEST way to completely UNDERMINE your singing contest.

02. FYD Livelier and more rousing than last night, but unfortunately they were never going to come off as anything other than JLS Part II.

Rushing around the stage shouting "C'MON YEEEEEEAAA" a handful of times does NOT make up for the fact that you only sang 5% of your own hit. FAIL.

05. GROUP PERFORMANCE Loved the arrangement of an old classic, but as I already said, there is simply no excuse for miming on this show EVER.

The X Factor threads on here really are so incredibly predictable. I know what 9 out of 10 posters will say before they even know it themselves. It's depressing reading! Practically nobody has any objectivity...

 

Katie vocally is very decent regardless of the fact that she's a cunt and people need to accept that.

Katie's got a nice texture/tone quality to her voice. It isn't the strongest, but she should just lay off Queen for some time. What she sang tonight was so much better than yesterday!

I don't think she is a c*n't as you so crudely put it. She is being shown in a bad light deliberately. I'm actually coming around to liking her (the person) but just not her voice. Having said that ... she is far from the worst singer in the competition ... she's better than Cher at the very least.

Agreed on Katie, I can definitely imagine her pulling off Warwick Avenue. I'm actually a fan of hers and am disappointed by the fact that she's Britain's #1 hate figure at the moment.

 

Anyway...the group performance was a cover of the Hermes House Band arrangement of the Corona song :lol:

 

 

One Direction cover Darin's take on Coldplay, Joe's releasing a Donkeyboy song and the group performance borrows from a cheesy Dutch one hit wonder bands adaptation of a 90's classic. Maybe in a few weeks Inna and Edward Maya will be mentoring the finalists on 'Romania week' :w00t:

I will admit, I didn't expect Nicolo to receive the fewest public votes but I thought his performance last night was just dreadful. Yes, worse than the likes of Wagner. Why? Because Wagner sounded so bloody hilariously singing "She Bangs" in a Brazilian/English accent. Nicolo was trying too hard to be Calvin Harris and it backfired. He was definitely not the worst singer coming into this stage of the competition but his "version" of 'Just Dance' did him no justice.

 

Then there's F.Y.D. and Katie who I gave 2/10 amongst others. Slightly surprised John wasn't there - his performance lacked any spark and his big note towards the end really was crap. :( Of course in a sing off between F.Y.D. and Katie, I had a gut feeling Katie would survive even if she crumbled on stage and start cried for 2 minutes instead if singing. I suspect Katie will be this years Rachel Adedeji; bottom 2 again next week but survive but then will be kicked out after a couple of weeks when faced in the bottom two against someone like Cher. :kink:

Katie could avoid bottom 2 next week by virtue of the bounce effect, and also she may have redeemed herself in the public's eyes with her first semi-decent performance tonight ("very decent" is overstating it a little).

I don't think its her voice that will redeem her ... it'll be just her. She really did look vulnerable and nervous on Saturday night ... and I don't think she's this hard bitch that she has been portrayed as. The X-F producers have all along, deliberately shown her worst points. I mean ... in the Judge's House part ... its been revealed that she sang two songs ... one of which was a decent shot ... but they decided to show the crap one where she started crying.

I also can't think of any other reason why they'd have allowed TreyC's VT to go out yesterday - they've never normally shown contestants bitching about each other before have they?

Glad FYD are gone. Their lead singer bugged the hell out of me. The other 4 guys are OK though.

Treyc hardly bitched I think she was being frank that they did not give her a warm welcome.Even if Treyc had said nothing the press are determined to turn Katie and now Cher into the the two wicked Witches of X-factor.I dont rate Katie at all but she did sing for the first time tonight with no gimmicks no tears and let her voice do the work.Still dont like her. :lol:

The group performance was diabolical and a complete disgrace.Badly mimed, badly performed and showed what a poor selection most of them were.Wagner though was hilarious.

Reading through the thread, as Jark put it TYPICAL BUZZJACK comments. Katie is really not that bad, and her sing-off performance was actually really good. She's only getting stick because of this whole Gamu nonsense, which is utterly bizzare and utterly stupid.

 

There's just too many acts, even with 14 now. Unless an act grows into the competition there are only five acts that I can think of that could win the show, and the rest of the acts are just making up the numbers really. All in all it was a bit of a shambolic show. F.Y.D were f***ing terrible. I hear about all this dancing that they're good at, yet they're average at best, and their vocals were ALL really weak. It's not even like they had one strong vocalist - they were all terrible. Nicolo I thought had potential, but he was a c**t, and not in a good way. His performance was also uttery appauling.

I'm really disappointed about Nicolo going out. He was one of those acts who I would've really looked forward to seeing again. I would love to have seen what he would've done next.

 

When it came down to Katie and F.Y.D though, I did hope for Katie to get through. I actually like her voice and I don't dislike her as a person either.
