October 10, 201014 yr Yeah, Cheryl doesn't seem to have brilliant radio airplay yet. Hmm... Maybe it's outside Top 20. We'll see later. What the heck at Take That. #40 after for just 2 days since its premiere (if that's right?)! Edited October 10, 201014 yr by FM11

What the heck at Take That. #40 after for just 2 days since its premiere (if that's right?)! Robbie & Gary were #16 after just 2 days of radio airplay IIRC. 'The Flood' seems to be a less monumental occasion... first Take That recording since Robbie rejoined vs. first recording with both Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow on it since the split. Cheyrl Cole isn't an 'X Factor artist', she just happens to get a lot of her sales form the X Factor because of her affiliation with it. That argument would apply more to, say, Joe McElderry, Olly Murs and Alexandra Burke. OM and AB's airplays have been just fine. JM not so much. Edited October 10, 201014 yr by ~ braysephone ~

Yeah, Alex and Olly have done fantastically with airplay to be fair, but Cheryl is largely associated with the X Factor, so all those people that listen to "proper" music will not listen to the song, because it's sort of against their morals, even if they actually like it, if you get what I mean. But, mark my words, Promise This will do well in Europe, proving that Cheryl doesn't need the X Factor to do well anyway.
