As she said, the press and people have talked so much about her private life in the last two years, most of the time talking rubbish, that she needed to talk at least once to make it clear so people would stop believing what's written in the papers, and she could stop some rumours.

And this show is the best opportunity to do such a thing I guess.

Hmm, she can say whatever - but I still think going on it, not so long after the whole break-up - it was just so obvious she was gonna cry on set. The producers knew that, and that's basically the reason they probably wanted her on. A FEW TEARS = BAM! GREAT TV! Sometimes, I think it's best to keep your feelings away from the media - and this whole thing has lost me respect for her. She seemed like someone who despite the attention, was still a bit shy with it. But, this has lost a bit of respect from me.

Sorry, but i thought she came across quite fake during some this :( She over did the tears. However, despite this, she gained some respect as she has been through

quite alot.

Dannii's one was better though :kink:

Because a divorce, nearly dying, and Gamugate aren't worthy of tears  Don't forget it is edited down into about 45 minutes, from a 2 hour interview.

Whatever Cheryl does people are always going to bitch and moan and that is just tiring now.

Having watched this at about 2am yesterday on ITV2 (proving how much I actually wanted to see it, I was willing to watch a channel that I cannot stand, at all) I though she came across reasonably well on it, she still seems fairly uninteresting and a bit standoffish - I think you could definatly tell she was unwilling to answer quite a lot of the questions.

As for her motives for doing it, fair enough really. There's been a lot of media scandal surrounding her for years of course, in particular now, so understandably she'd want to put her point across. I honestly cant say I learned anything new during the programme though, except perhaps that she was so close to death during the whole malaria buisness which at the time I thought was being exadurated by the press.

See. I can make relatively nice posts about La Chez sometimes. Or maybe she just seemed really nice and likeable cos she was next to that odious little twat Piers Morgan. Who knows?

If I'm right, the uncut interview will be shown on ITV2 on Thursday ! :D

Edit : I checked and it's at 10.45 pm on Thursday ! And it's 1h30 long !

I kind of agree with this, but I kind of liked her for doing it rather than just avoiding the questions we all wanted to know the answers to. But yeah some of the tears felt a bit forced and I'm pretty sure everyone gets told to be more emotional on the show, so it's not just Cheryl it's pretty much everyone who goes on there.

I wish someone I actually LIKED did this show though and it wasn't presented by one of the most vile men ever. Rihanna doing this would be amazing, since we're still yet to hear what really happened with Chris Brown from her point of view. She obviously never will do it though.

I didn't like this show at all. I knew from what other people had said beforehand that I wouldn't like it, but still thought I should have a look before disregarding it and I proved myself right. The whole thing seemed a bit fake and put-on, and that's not necessarily Cheryl's fault but the show's fault itself. It was completely sensationalised and hyped up to make Cheryl look like such a victim when tbf, a divorce and close to death, that's just not necessary. If anything it made me think less of Cheryl not more, and I'm scared that it's had that reaction with other people too.

Good on her for speaking up on these subjects, I just wish maybe she had done it in a different way.

I'm not gonna say too much, as I haven't got round to watching this yet - but the fact she's done this show has MASSIVELY lost respect from me. Having just watched a section of it on Loose Women, I totally agree! Why do this so soon after the relationship, and so early in her life? I can't put my finger on why it irritates me that she's done this show, but it REALLY does. I might come across a Cheryl hater (but considering 4 of her songs having gone Top 5 in my personal chart, I'm blatently not).

She said she wanted to close this chapter of her life, that after the Life Stories interview she's not going to talk about her private life anymore. We'll se what happens but I'm glad she's done this interview if it means no more personal stuff in the future.

Scrap what I said before, the uncut version of the interview is shown TONIGHT at 10pm on ITV2 !

Ooo, thanks for posting that Bert !

Anybody else watching the un-edited one? I think they've only shown one part that wasn't on Saturday's one, which expanded more on Gamu and The X Factor?

They've talked about the Royal Ballet and her chidhood as well. This is mile times better and more interesting than the Saturday's cut version.

They talked a bit more about Derek too, saying she doesn't have to confirm or deny their relationship since it's a personnal life and she doesn't have to comment it.
