I think The Promise has now outsold SOTU, not sure though

EDIT: Or maybe I'm thinking of FFTL (which has definitely outsold SOTU)

FFTL has definitely outsold it (It's over 900k now). I think The Promise is at around 500-600k and SOTU 640k+

Come Around Sundown is still at both #1 and #2 on iTunes Albums, I wouldn't be surprised if it's broken the record for 1-week album downloads

Oh she should be #2 in about one hour now ! :cheer:

It's so stressing to have Rihanna on her back climbing steadily, it makes the whole thing really exciting ! I really hope she can make it to the top before the X !

Come on Peter, hurry up and overtake that x-wag. :cheer:

Cheryl will be #1 in a matter of hours.

Also i think with having the x factor performances available to download means the original songs wont climb as much like they would if the x factor performances themselves werent available. X Factor very clever, they are now making money from the performances rather then the artists of the orginial songs.

its unrealistic to compare Fight For This Love and Promise This. FFTL was massively overhyped so the massive sales were expected.

#379 ...Baby One More Time

#484 Toxic

Ciara's new single Gimmie Dat is out today, but I don't see her in top 1000. Anyone know how to see songs behind top 1000?

Cheryl is number 3 on my feed

On both charts :)

i think the fact FFTL was a bit of a future classic (likeor not, its gonna be played years down the line) it was different, it was out there and of course the first solo song from girls aloud star/x factor judge! it was gonna do amazing!

i think Cheryl could have a 150,000+ week this week, nothing near the 300,000 FFTL sold (ok 295,000) - but something she should be proud of

Okay can people stop already with fight for this love discussion, this is a new single, Promise This, its going to have huge sales and be #1 stop comparing to fight for this love.

Rihanna get a move on! ^_^

I was wondering about this, obviously each year that goes by sales are usually getting higher (in singles anyway), and I was wondering that even though it's taking a tiny bit longer (not much by the looks of it) to storm up to the top, could it roughly be on the same level as Fight? As on average, it would need more downloads to surpass everything? Does this make sense? I'm not sure i worded it right.

Like for example. If the #10 song was selling 100 copies an hour last year but is selling 150 copies this year, it would take more copies to be sold to overtake it. Does this make sense on what I'm trying to ask?

If Cheryl's X Factor performance is incredible who knows 200,000+ sales may be possible.
