October 19, 201014 yr Considering Katy Perry performed what is possibly the worst live performance this show has ever seen (barely a single word in tune), this is a daft question, really..... Did you watch Whitney's performance last year? :P
October 19, 201014 yr I love them both, but Diana did a better job. Although Katy was nowhere near as bad a people are saying. Diana just had a more interesting performance and a bigger production.
October 19, 201014 yr Yeah, while I don't think Katy was vocally perfect, I didn't think she was as bad as most people are saying on here.
October 19, 201014 yr Yeah, while I don't think Katy was vocally perfect, I didn't think she was as bad as most people are saying on here. You may not think so. But in theirs and the general opinion, she was.
October 19, 201014 yr Isn't the general opinion the whole country? If so, then I'm guessing quite alot of people liked the performance (according to ITunes)?? Just a thought?
October 19, 201014 yr Katy's was definitely a good performance (staging, her stage presence), just wasn't good vocally. Diana's was good performance wise (staging, her stage presence) and vocally (i.e. in tune) but diction was poor
October 19, 201014 yr Isn't the general opinion the whole country? If so, then I'm guessing quite alot of people liked the performance (according to ITunes)?? Just a thought? No becuase not the whole country didnt watch it. Maybe about 15-20% of the uk. And based on press, facebook, word of mouth etc, yes id say gnerally its was very much disliked. In fact I dont even know one person persoanlly that liked it, even Katy Perry fans. Just becuase a few thousand out of abut 12 million bought it doesnt mean that it was loved by the masses.
October 19, 201014 yr Author The funny thing is that if Diana Vickers did that as an audition, she wouldn't get past the first round - none of the judges would be able understand a word she's singing
October 19, 201014 yr The funny thing is that if Diana Vickers did that as an audition, she wouldn't get past the first round - none of the judges would be able understand a word she's singing  Well if thats the case then same goes for Katy Perry
October 19, 201014 yr Some stars have both incredible vocals, and amazing stage presence - *cough* Beyoncé *cough* :kink: Beyoncé is aweosme, i just watched her sing You Oughta Know  In reference to good vocal AND stage presence: Brandon Flowers :kink: Alanis Morissette :kink: I wont mention Kylie because it would start up a serious fight  I'll do a Dannii: Based on the performances I have just seen, Diana was better. However, Katy is usually better than diana. I wanted to expand my previous post.
October 19, 201014 yr We are voting for the best PERFORMANCE and katy was better (and usher was better then joe) And I'm the "arrogant" one, pushing my opinion as superior to other people's? #JustSayin' If so, then I'm guessing quite alot of people liked the performance (according to ITunes)?? Just a thought? No, a lot of people liked the song. There's a difference. I LOVE the song (one of my favourites on her fantastic album), but I thought her vocal performance was poor, very poor. iTunes is representation of which song people preferred, not which performance.
October 19, 201014 yr And I'm the "arrogant" one, pushing my opinion as superior to other people's? #JustSayin' Yep, you are the arrogant one you said it. I'm not pushing my opinion, you seem to be as you're still going on. #JustSayin' I'm clearly stating what this thread is asking, which was the best performance, which goes to katy perry. ^_^ Edited October 19, 201014 yr by Breakeven
October 19, 201014 yr Both were as bad as each other. Diana's diction is so bad she might as well have been singing in Swahili & Katy Perry can't sing full stop. Edited October 19, 201014 yr by truly talented
October 19, 201014 yr Both were as bad as each other. Diana's diction is so bad she might as well have been singing in Swahili & Katy Perry can't sing full stop. Agreed. I would say Katy's was better. At least the stage was quite pretty.
October 19, 201014 yr Beyoncé is aweosme, i just watched her sing You Oughta Know  In reference to good vocal AND stage presence: Brandon Flowers :kink: Alanis Morissette :kink: I wont mention Kylie because it would start up a serious fight  I'll do a Dannii: Based on the performances I have just seen, Diana was better. However, Katy is usually better than diana. I wanted to expand my previous post. But the difference between Beyonce and up and coming female singers is that Beyonce has worked hard to improve her vocals over the years. Her vocals have got better, stronger and more powerful. Diana obviously gave a better performance and sang better than Katy but why no one in her team gets her to work with a vocal coach regarding her poor diction is a shame. I knew Katy would be bad I have yet to hear a good live performance from her. At least she has good producers and a large chest to detract from her voice.
October 19, 201014 yr I went with Katy as I hate Diana Vickers. I really couldn't understand a word she said, her diction was so bad. Katy wasn't much better though, there were quite a few bits out of tune but I actually didn't think she was too bad, especially compared to her performance on Alan Carr.
October 19, 201014 yr Is "Dictation" the word of the day? lol. One person said it now everyone is using it lol
