October 26, 201014 yr I'm surprised Mariah Carey isn't higher considering she's got a new christmas single - and its not that bad actually. Not All I Want For Christmas, but it's not an embarrasment (in my opinion anyway)

October 26, 201014 yr Nothing will sell the 400,000+ needed for a Christmas number one apart from the X Factor or something backed by a facebook campaigned. The problem with facebook backed singles is that last year there was one big campaign for Rage this year there seems to be several so all the sales will just get spread about.

Her new song is her best in quite a while. An artist releasing an original christmas song is quite rare these days. I think it could do quite well.

I think they'll be a couple more double eliminations thrown in along the way for it to finish on 12th and the winner's single out in time for the Christmas chart which will be the 19th. I'm backing The Pogues for Xmas #1. Deserves it after all the times it's been top 10 :lol:

Deserves it after all the times it's been top 10 :lol: I think the number of people involved would make a Boxing Day final (when there is no public transport) totally impractical. It's not just the people in front of the camera. There's also the audience and all the people working behind the scenes (who would want to be paid twice their usual rate).
