The change means that the fully-reformed lineup will not face direct competition from JLS in the much-hyped chart battle between the two groups. Take That and JLS had both been due to release their respective singles 'The Flood' and 'Love You More' - this year's Children In Need single - on November 14. The following week would have then seen their new albums, Progress and Outta This World, compete for the top spot. "We've actually never seen one of our singles be played so much so we're actually pulling all our release dates forwards," Gary Barlow confirmed on Radio 1 today. "We're able to see the pre-orders now on albums and it's massive, so we thought let's pull everything forward." However, both the single and album will now be released on the same dates as new offerings from both Westlife and McFly. Barlow admitted that there are also new boybands entering the market. "Listen, there's no question about it, we're here to be replaced aren't we?" he said. "There's always a faster younger better model." JLS previously confessed that they expected to be beaten by Take That in the chart battle.
October 28, 201014 yr Author Ya i think they will beat westlife just as i thought they would beat Jls.
October 28, 201014 yr  Westlife have moved their release dates too, so Take That won't be competing with JLS or Westlife
October 28, 201014 yr Bugger, that's one less chance of MCR going top 5. Still, it's probably a good thing since I wasn't 100% sure their single would beat JLS'. The album will obviously trounce anything in its path though.
October 28, 201014 yr Surely now though the Flood will be up against the X Factor finalists so may get stuck at #2 anyway?
October 28, 201014 yr Surely now though the Flood will be up against the X Factor finalists so may get stuck at #2 anyway? I don't think they expect or are even bothered that The Flood should get to number 1. The same way as I'm sure Rob wasn't too concerned about Shame not getting to number 1. The number 1 position is more important for the album and they'll most certainly get that. Kath
October 28, 201014 yr Author Take That will be far more concerned with the album album peformance and if the single does well it will be an added bonus. Take That are mainly seen as an albums act now.
October 31, 201014 yr They have the #1 single and album in the bag. Their biggest threat is P!nk on both weeks if you look. I honestly think sales for both are going to be through the roof. Wouldn't be surprised if 'Progress' did over half a million in its opening week. I've never seen/read so much hype for an album.

Wouldn't be surprised if 'Progress' did over half a million in its opening week. I've never seen/read so much hype for an album. Let's hope that the hype is justified. The Flood is decent enough ... but it needs another four or five tracks of the same standard or (hopefully) better, to justify it. I really like Pink ... one of the few female 'rock' singers (or what I'd class as rock anyway) we have - if anyone were to beat them I'd rather it be her. Kath
October 31, 201014 yr Author Pinks greatest hits will sell very well throughout the whole christmas period i think but as a threat to take that i cant see it happening. The flood is a great indicator for the album and if there is more like it il be happy, i agree i think the album could possibly sell near half a million in its first week.
October 31, 201014 yr The X Factor Finalists are apparently now releasing on 22nd Nov which should mean The Flood gets #1. And it deserves to because it's 100 times better than Greatest Day, which didn't really deserve #1.
October 31, 201014 yr Author Ya the flood is definitly better than greatest day, i do like greatest day but rule the world and up all night in my opinion were more worthy of number 1 status than it.
