I don't know where others get airplay stats, and I dunno how reliable mediabase is, but it isn't top 40 on the mediabase airplay chart. Jessie & Tinie both are.

It's not Someone Like You that's ahead of OTF on US iTunes though.

 

I don't have any problem with people saying OTF is better than RITD but it just doesn't seem right to say JLo is anywhere near that many '>'s better than Adele. It's just WRONG. They aren't really comparable.

Adele is one of the most popular artists right now so that gives me a lot of hope for music yet which seemed to be getting just trashy! Adele has brought back real, class, vocal music back to the forefront!

Oh yeah, silly me. :lol: I probably still prefer On the Floor to Rolling in the Deep, but I prefer Rolling in the Deep to Someone Like You.

"Well I didn't start this war but it's on..." :) The biggest difference between Jennifer Lopez and Adele is that Jennifer Lopez can't, doesn't and won't sing. Ever. She has never gone on tour. She seems to be good at convincing people she can sing but in truth there is no evidence that she has actually ever done so. Meanwhile, Adele is without a doubt breathtaking. There is no contest.

Also -- that Rolling in the Deep has risen to #2 doesn't overcome my disappointment that Someone Like You has fallen out of the top 30. The latter deserves to be a no. 1 SMASH here as it is the UK.
