Well I thought EVERY single performance tonight was DREADFUL. Motorway pile-up.

Bon Jovi really couldn't have given a rat's arse about that performance. I had been saying to my housemates how little energy and oomph there was there, and then suddenly the contestants walk on for their traditional mime-off, and the reason for Bon Jovi's nonchalance became obvious.

It was HORRIBLE to see a track like Livin' On A Prayer stripped off all it's energy. And you'd think if they were going to have the mics switched off, they would at least have told the contestants NOT to try singing along in the chorus or advised Dermot not to try asking Wagner any questions. UTTER DISASTER.

Jamiroquai...vocally fine, but just DEATHLY DULL on a SUUS level. How much longer is he going to try and spin out his career for on his one-trick pony? He basically just regurgitated the sound of every tired Heart FM "Club Classics" Saturday night radio show filled with forgettable handbag house that should have stayed in the 70s.

Rihanna...the performance and the staging were MARVELLOUS, just a shame the vocals were p***-poor. She could have done with miming. She wins the title of "least offensive performance of the night" though, as the ongoing food fight that distressed Dermot so did give me a chuckle.

Neither of the bottom 2 acts were on form. Belle Amie was a vocal car-crash yet again, and I think it had become obvious to everyone that they were only ever going to be the budget Saturdays, themselves a budget Girls Aloud.

Katie was superior, but it still wasn't her finest moment. 'Don't Let Me Down' was FAR better.

On a positive note, the right decision was made. Belle Amie were the worst of the bunch last night and thoroughly deserved the boot. And HA as if anyone believes they'll carry on.

Mikey - Simon Cowell may be an arse, but it wasn't his fault the girls were out of tune!

The lesson of the season so far is never EVER cover your eyes with sunglasses or make up that adds 80 years...

and that you shouldn't enter as a girl group in any way shape or form.....if they try to group you together in a girl group you should throw a hissy fit and claim sabotage.

Umm, is anybody else watching The Xtra Factor and very confused? They just had Cheryl, Louis and Simon saying exactly the same things about Cheryl being #1 that they said at the beginning?

lol they were goin on about it

In all honesty, can we all just agree that Belle Amie did well just to make it to week 4? From the moment they were formed they screamed week 2 fodder.
lol they were goin on about it

Oh riiiiight. :P But I just got confused when Connie said Cheryl was #1 then Simon said again why Cheryl didn't tell him, then Cheryl said she didn't want to brag, then Louis kept asking Cheryl if she was really #1, and they said the exactly same after!

Jay Kay on Cheryl and Dannii:

"What are they going to tell me about f****** music? I'd like to fu*king sh*g you but that's all."

That explains it. <_<

Well, it's The Xtra Factor - dumbed down television suitable for kids with the attention span of a goldfish.

Maybe they kept making a big deal about it in the hope that everytime they mentioned Cheryl was no. 1, enough idiots would go "is she?" and download the track on iTunes. If that was the case, 'Promise This' would've sold an extra 20,000 downloads in the last 45 minutes.

Thankfully that isn't the case and Rihanna with her Travis 'Sing' inspired foodfight performance will get the anthemic track to no. 1 next week. :D

Well, I didnt watch it but that bottom 2 doesnt surprise me at all- glad Belle Amie went really, it was clearly time to go

Shame about Katie- she clearly isnt getting the support needed, she needs to do what Cher did really and give a truly excellent performance that will silence her haters- I wonder if it will ever happen :( hopefully, she'll get the bounce back vote next week

It's really difficult to say as the numbers are whittled down each week. I wouldn't be too sure that Katie will be safe next week. She could be there again next week with TreyC. If they're the two girls not connecting with the public, then it doesn't matter how great they are, it won't be enough to sway the general public's opinion.

I suspect Cheryl will lose her first act next week and it'll most likely be between Katie or TreyC.

Ew at Jay Kay, scumbag.

SHHH. He makes a very valid point.

Bell Amie leaving was inevitable really. Nobody wants to vote for a girl group tbh, do they?

yeah I agree Cheryl will lose an act next week- theres no way they'll allow her to week 6 with all 4 acts, Im sure it will be a double as well, as theres 10 now, which one it is remains to be seen

next week's the infamous week 5 though :o the week Laura was eliminated and Jedward were saved over Lucie- could well be a surprise this week

I'm scared for Rebecca.

She's rubbish though. I'd rather see her over go than Wagner.

Only if this is 1910 rather than 2010 and women are still second class citizens who don't have the vote. Otherwise NO, he does not make any kind of point and is in fact a prize cunt.
