I think the biggest problem is that there are so many big songs out at the moment.Most hold strong sales week on week so newer releases just can't match the sales.

 

It's a shame as there are loads of songs which should have peaked higher.

Ne-Yo was only released today, so it's not doing too badly at #24, neither is Nadine at #31 given that it's had ZERO airplay :lol:

 

 

Ne-Yo would be doing better if A) it wasn't released the same week as the album and B) it was release yesterday.

About Ne-Yo and Nadine - of course, I don't forget that they have been added only today. But I expected AT LEAST top-15 for Ne-Yo. Well, as for Nadine I don't think she underperforms, as I expected this. :lol: But she has stalled in the last hours. Maybe people are buying her single at Tesco digital instead?...

 

And Nadine's physical won't make much difference, because there are some stocking problems of her single there, it's not in every Tesco store, and some people were travelling (!) from town to town today to get her single.

Because the teaser has a limited number of characters and I wanted to fit as many entries as possible - Nicki is shorter than will.i.am :lol:

If it can, it would probably have been in the rock chart anyway, so if it's not there in any previous weeks, then it's probably not. Seriously, you probably need only like 100 sales to get top 40 in it. :lol:

 

However, the iTunes genre classifications are so stupid. I think one of the versions of Break Your Heart by Taio Cruz is classified as a rock song, when it's clearly a pop song (with some R&B thrown in too). :o Plus, what they tend to do, is give all the songs from an album the same genre, so when you've got those albums that are, say, half pop, half R&B (like most albums nowadays :lol:), it gets really stupid. If you search for a song that has multiple entries in the top 1000, you'll probably see each entry is listed under a different genre.

Yes, it is absolutely phenomenal, to be fair. Certainly one of the catchiest songs I've heard this year. It's great, because they play it like every hour on Galaxy. :D
