Lisa Roxanne? :o as in THE Lisa Roxanne who brought us the BRILLIANT 'No Flow' & 'Ex-Boyfriend'

I have an inkling Shakespear Sisters may be an unexpected top 40

I dont know why, the original is a vocal powerhouse and a classic.Chers vocals were as usual monotone and flat.

Should I include the Chris Isaak and John Murphy songs in further updates?

I love to see that chart in the official top 40

I can see why, it's not a song the younger generation will be overly familiar with so will seem like a new song to them almost. Oh and the fact that Cher's performance was the best of the night too.

I feel so old to think that a lot of people on the forum didn't previously know Stay! :drama:

It was #1 for 8 weeks originally I think, huge huge song. Great song though so a second wind is definitely welcome.

I've heard it before :P Cher's performance was very good but the Shakespears Sister version can't be matched

The grammatical AND spelling errors in their name annoy me a lot though :(

40. Stay - Shakespears Sister

:o Looks like Cher's had quite an effect

OMG :o

Its such an icon track its one of my favourite all time #1s

It spend 8 weeks at #1, best selling single of the year, it deserves to be in the chart again, please let it be top 10, or even top 5

Lisa Roxanne? :o as in THE Lisa Roxanne who brought us the BRILLIANT 'No Flow' & 'Ex-Boyfriend'

 Oh my god, I was thinking the same thing. I remember reading an article about her in Top of the Pops magazine before she released her first single! Is it really her though? I guess the chances of there being two singers called Lisa Roxanne are pretty low but still... I do love these unexpected chart returns by completely random artists

Wow, Cher has had quite an effect! :o

I did think her performance was good. I was upset that she didn't rap, but I do think the public needed to be reminded that she was actually a good singer, and I think it's worked!

And I can't believe I'm saying this, but Yeo Valley Rap up to #27!! :D

126. Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love.

I hope it can go Top 75 again ;D

Bleeding Love could get even closer to the million mark

19. Stay - Shakespears Sister

Bloody hell, this is headed for the top 10 :o

Anyone know why all the Halloween songs seem to be falling? Ghostbusters is all the way down to #52 now... they'll reclimb tomorrow but it seems strange that they were all shooting up and now they're falling again!

Maybe everyone is having their Halloween parties on Saturday night? With Monday being a school/work day...

That makes sense.
