Jedward are like The Beatles of Ireland. Be afraid...be very afraid!!! :lol: (good thing their success in the UK has been limited)

No doubt Jedward will go number 1 and sell big, question is can it outdo lipstick which was huge. Im sure all the eurovision stuff will give their album a boost aswell.

The success of Jedward in Ireland always amazes me - 2 #1 albums, 3 #1 singles and now another #1 on the way?! Incredible - just odd that their success in the UK is nothing in comparison.

 

Does anyone know why 'Wow Oh Wow' didn't reach the top 50 in Ireland upon release? It had Tara Reid in the music video and was the third single from 'Victory' - following 2 #1 singles, I'd thought it'd at least reach the top 50?

Their success isn't that odd. Ireland is obsessed with its own no matter how mediocre. As for Wow Oh Wow, it was a post-album single and Jedward don't do well with airplay so their general public appeal is limited. Their stanbase didn't see any reason to buy it when the album was out I guess.

I was surprised wow oh wow didnt evem manage top 50, i know the fans would have bought the album but i thought they would have enough fans to ensure a single went top 50, especially when the phyisical was available everywhere such as tesco, hmv, heatons and xtra vision.

Jedward are now down to #3 - might not get #1 now then (unless there's a physical available already?) but then Lipstick debuted at #2 and didn't get to #1 until Eurovision IIRC.
