Why not have BJSC XXX this month (doesn't matter if it's at the end of the month) and the Best of during December? Would seem a bit odd having it covering 21-29... Oh actually, yes, it would be nine contests, not eight - I confused myself in the behind the scenes planning. Yes, that does bear thinking about...
November 2, 201014 yr 21 wasn't done under the last TBO Tirren. Noted, I'd confused myself. More to the point, how have we managed to go the same amount of time with a big two/three month break and only be a contest behind?
November 2, 201014 yr OH, I've just realised why, silly me. We had the month of nominations under the old way - so we'd have the X contest in the September then TBO in November. Yeah, this realignment will make much more sense for a year-end round-up actually.

And I'd be fairly keen on having XXX this month, as it'd allow us to have TBO in December / January, and then since you're proposing only having 8 contests a year from then on, it means TBO is at the perfect time to have "Best of 2011, Best of 2012" etc. instead of every ten contests.

November 2, 201014 yr I really like spin-offs, but I seem to be in a minority of one. I'd love a Christmas spin-off, becuase I was moving house last year (memories of writing my mod application on my iPhone :lol:) and missed out on it, but it wasn't a huge hit... Anyway, hopefully we can get XXX :kink: out the way before the end of the year, and stick to a 10-a-year schedule in 2011.
November 2, 201014 yr Author I must admit i like our 10 a year and TBO schedule. The contests were merging into one with reservation opening days after the final was announced. If we keep the current structure [straight confirmation - 1wk. Final - 2wks] we can have a week between contests [it also gives the hosts a little flexibility over time] a month for TBO [which if we do 10 contests we can have in Nov next year where it belongs :cheer:] and a month off somewhere in the year. It's just occurred to me that BJSC is 3years old :o
