Progress top10 again this week ;)

itunes:

The Flood no59 (it is about to pick up again the next 2 weeks)

Kidz no123

Angels no138 (must have been played somewhere during the week)

Rule the World no184 (typical :) whenever TT is around this makes an appearance)

Let's see how these will evolve next week and the week after that

Im happy enough with those sales and in total that brings progress total world wide sales to roughly 2.7 million which is great and im sure there are plenty plenty of sales left in yet, so 4 million worldwide could well happen by the time sales totally fade off.

Progress is #24 this week down 4 places which is a big improvement on how it started out at the bginning of thweek where it was #37 in the first set of midweeks. I think its total sales are in or around, 1.970,000 now.

Robbie confirmed in an interview that Take That have sold over 3 million albums around Europe. With the tour coming and the re-release of Progress I expect Progress to sell between 3.5-4 million by the end of the year. That would be an amazing achievement.

Progress back to 9 in the charts with sales between 15-26k. Pretty amazing chart run. It will outsell The Circus easily. Give it two more weeks and it will have more sales than The Circus.

The dvd of The Circus is still in the top 20 after 80 weeks (11 weeks were at number 1 and I think its only been outside the 20 for about 10 of those 80 weeks) .... so I can't imagine what the sales are going to be like for The Progress DVD.

Whatever happens - after its release Take That will probably have four of the top five best selling music dvds ever.

Of course it will. Progressed should easily sell 100k next week. If you add this to the 2,050,000 total of Progress it will already overtake the Circus (2,150,000)

And it definitely deserves to

Perhaps it could add a few no1 weeks to those of the X-mas sales... Progress should be already ahead of the Circus but how many weeks was Beautiful World no1 for?

It bloody well should overtake the sales of The Circus soon given all it has going for it. Conceptually - its a better album than The Circus despite the fact that there is a distinct absence of a killer song and also - the fact that some Robbie fans along the way will have added to the Take That fans buying it (Yes I know that they're all one happy family now - but you do have the buying power of two sets of fans). If it didn't sell more than The Circus any time soon - I'd say it could be seen as a bit of a 'disappointment'.

Beautiful World was number 1 for six weeks upon its release in late 2006 but returned to the top spot for a further two weeks in March 2007 (and this is before the deluxe edition was released). I doubt Progress/Progressed combined will match the total sales for Beautiful World.

Back to Progressed though - have you seen the review on Popjustice? Not too bad.

Kath
