November 10, 201014 yr I hope someone sings 'Saturday Nights Alright', preferably Aiden. It's my favourite Elton John track.
November 10, 201014 yr And I wouldn't see the point in fixing it so Katie stays. She's been bottom 2 several times and it's obvious she's not gonna win the show, and won't even be a finalist, so why would they bother to save her ? Well they had to buy her out of her recording contract in the US so you cant blame them for wanting someone who caused such a fuss to stay in to make it worth it. Plus of course the publicity, even before the whole scenario with Treyc's elimination, Waissel has been in the tabloids much more than anyone else, much to the extent Vickers was 2 years ago except that with Katie they've failed to turn her into a marmite icon but into a full on hate figure instead.
November 10, 201014 yr Treyc was pretty boring anyway andf Katie makes me laugh Im supporting Wagner :cheer:
November 10, 201014 yr A part of me does think Treyc got more votes than Katie though (perhaps not 3 times more or whatever but the numbers arent the important part) because otherwise why was everyone so unwilling to go to deadlock (which is what would have happened had Cheryl been given her vote).Shall be interesting at the end of the series though to see how they actually fared. The show needs/wants Katie to stay in for as long as possible (presumably in an attempt to lower the UK population by making people commit suicide just to escape her horrible existance? No? Too far? Fine, I'll shut up). How do you know Cheryl would've voted to get rid of Katie? She's could've voted for Treyc, then it would've been 3-1 for Treyc to leave.
November 10, 201014 yr I feel sorry for Cheryl... The scenario going through her head was obviously: "I show my preference to one of the acts. The judges may eventually send this girl away... and the bond I have with the girl I voted off won't be the same afterwards." Cheryl had every right not to vote... it was the production's fault, not hers. I totally agree with you, 100% :)

November 10, 201014 yr Well they had to buy her out of her recording contract in the US so you cant blame them for wanting someone who caused such a fuss to stay in to make it worth it. To be honest ... I'm starting to doubt she had a recording contract with anyone! Not with a voice as bloody awful as hers. Whatever the producers paid to get her out of it ... they wuz robbed! I must admit ... the more fixes and controversies that surround it ... the more I love it. It's the perfect Saturday evening Drama Series. Who gives a feck if no-one (apart from Rebecca) can sing. Kath
November 10, 201014 yr Cheryl had every right not to vote... How so? Isn't she soposed to be a Judge? And part of that job description as a X-Factor Judge is to vote at the end of the night. She was completley useless imo. Yeah Dermot was a dick too not going back to deadlock, but Cheryl should have just voted in the first place.. Some fix happens every year though, and I keep on watching. All bad press is good press for them really, they will continue to get more viewers!

All bad press is good press for them really, they will continue to get more viewers! I'm not her greatest fan ... but to be fair ... she looked shocked when she was asked second ... to vote. Whilst she does NOT have the right not to vote ... she DID have the right to see how the others had voted before she cast hers. I think it was unfair for her to be asked second ... as had she voted second ... whichever way she did ... she couldn't be sure it would go to deadlock. Kath
November 10, 201014 yr Whilst I agree it was quite unfair to ask Cheryl early, Dermot did make it quite clear when she refused to vote it would be a MAJORITY vote, like in Series 4 with Kimberley and Alesha in week 1 when Sharon refused to vote thats fair enough- even if Simon and Louis blatantly voted to keep Katie in for the publicity, which you could say is unfair anyway, this is exactly what Simon wants- people are still talking about it now Edited November 10, 201014 yr by chart wizard
November 10, 201014 yr What the final 9 have said about there song this week .... Aiden Grimshaw: I’m hoping this Saturday won’t be my last song….if it is it’s going to be an act of war. Rebecca Ferguson: The dream is to still be singing 60 years on. Paije Richardson: I’m really excited about singing my song. It’s going to be fun. One Direction: A lot of people know the words. I love this song! It’s going to be tough to do it justice. Cher Lloyd: The song I’m singing is a bit of a surprise. Matt Cardle: I’ve had Elton John forced on me since I’ve been a little boy. It’s going to be tough to better it [last week's performance], but I will try. Mary Byrne: I’m a bit more chirpy, I’m back to fight. I’ll give it all my heart and all my soul and it might just carry me through. Katie Waissel: I’m definitely going to have a lot of fun with this song. cher abit of a surprise? hmmmm hope she's just singing again http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/x-factor/x-fa...lton-john-week/
November 11, 201014 yr Matt will be singing something from EJ`s 7th studio album this week (so maybe Goodbye Yellow Brick Road which would suit him perfectly but would prefer something more upbeat from that album like Bennie and the Jets or Saturday Night`s alright).
November 11, 201014 yr I was wondering, do you think it would help if maybe the judges had to lock in their votes after the singoff ends and then have them do their usual talking/explaining and then their votes come up. This way they have to make a decision first and then can't um and ah about it afterwards right up to making their decision. and if a judge refuses to vote (like Cheryl did this weekend)...their vote is random. November 11, 201014 yr Well it's obvious now that Dermot has now said it's not "a fix" as he knows his in with the sack. He knows this is the biggest platform he will have as a presenter.
November 11, 201014 yr he didnt ever say it was a fix anyway if you listen to the audio of what he said on the sun website he went 'we knew for few minutes what might happen (cause they went for a break after bottom 2) and the producer's said if cheryl refuses to sent one home just move on' so that's not saying it's a fix just the paper's doing what they do best make a fuss to sale there paper's
