July 19, 200619 yr REAMONN - Tonight Wow the BBC's caught up with this great German singer about 5 years late. I remember buying his single SUPERGIRL back in April 2000. Only 3 songs on the playlist that I can't stand - they are: SHAYNE WARD - Stand By Me DUNCAN JAMES - Can't Stop A River RONAN KEATING - Iris This shows I much prefer R2 than R1 On the R1 playlist there's trash like Slagonce - Ghostface Killa & Mc$h!te. On really great ones on R1s A-list are Rogue Traders, Lily Allen, Chilis & Bob Sinclar Edited July 20, 200619 yr by Euro Music
July 21, 200619 yr Radio 2 is complete cack. Rubbish playlist Skizzo, Of course you are right.......................................................................NOT. That is why in the last five years Radio1 has gone from having a 1 Million listeners lead over Radio2, to a near 4 Million listener deficit because it keeps playing generic R'n'B US chart hit singles & tired generic Dance tracks, whilst Radio2 has done more for promoting new British singer/songwriters/bands & still plays the best Indie/Dance tracks. James Morrison & The Pipettes being the latest in a very long line of British acts that Radio2 has picked up on way ahead of Radio1. Radio2 has a superior playlist which it consistently has had for the last 2/3 years, & has DJs on the station who have the music knowledge & care about the music they play unlike the self promoting morons (Chris Moyles, JK & Joel & Tim Westwood being the worst offenders) that Radio1 has. Just look at the Radio1s controllers arrogance over the criticism of (the clueless amateurs that are) JK & Joel presentation of Sunday's Weekly Top40 Countdown for proof. :arrr: You are entitled with your personal musical preferences & opinions, but you cannot argue with those listeners figures & their trend over such a long period of time.
July 21, 200619 yr I personally find neither playlist that much better. They both play c**p, but I can usually tolerate the c**p that Radio1 play more than Radio2. I also like the DJs on Radio 1 much more too, bar Chris Evans (). Though I usually listen to XFM anyway...

Radio 1's list is VARIED meanwhile this is just MOSTLY full of same old bland c**p for 40 year olds
