I'm not asking you to predict the eventual peak for this but merely where it'll get to on the singles chart when Rihanna releases "Loud" on Monday.

I reckon top 10 but not much more given the high sales at the top end and the one day head start all the other releases have.

I think it might be given a forced release, much like Alicia's Empire State Part 2.

Yeah, the same happened with the original Love the Way You Lie. When the album got released, it went top 10 on iTunes nearly everywhere in the world, so they didn't have much of a choice. This song might do the same, although since it's a "Part II", they might just leave it as a download only track. I think Rihanna was planning to go with S&M and the third single.

You're right about Empire State of Mind Part II. It basically ended up as a single in the UK because of Heart FM, and I can see them overplaying this song too, if they can get a radio edit with Eminem cut out. Love the Way You Lie Part II has already began getting airplay in the US and Canada! :o

Also, I think Rihanna's song with Drake could go top 40. Big week for Rihanna!

if you mean next week, then I would say top 10/20- no higher though

overall, I'd say top 3 and could one of the biggest records of next year

I never liked the original of this, this versions better, but it doesnt grab me

Yeah, I reckon 'Who's That Chick' might as well. Go RiRi! :D

Yeah, I remember Wait Your Turn almost making top 40 last year when Rated R was released. I was so gutted it didn't make it as I love hearing non-single album tracks on the chart show! Although that same week Telephone got to #30 as an album track (I think people downloaded it because of Beyonce at the time), so that made up for it. :D

This song is absolutely beatiful! I love Rihanna  , I love Eminem  , I love piano  . What more could I want? Then bam! We get Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart drums thrown in! So gorgeous!

Also, Rihanna said in an interview that there's a version with only her and a piano available as a bonus track (i.e. there'll be no drums, and no Eminem, although I don't know about the guitars).

The audio in the first post isn't even the finished version of the song, just a leaked unmastered edit. This is a bit premature is it not? I don't think it'll come close to repeating the success of ESOM II anyway.

The album is released next week isn't it? Will we start the thread the day before the album is released or something?

Also, Empire State of Mind II was released as a single in the UK, and Love the Way You Lie II might not be. Love the Way You Lie II is bound to have a higher first week peak than Empire State of Mind II, and whilst it probably won't be as successful in the UK, it will definitely be more successful worldwide. The UK is pretty much the only country where Empire State of Mind II was actually popular. It flopped/didn't get released in all the other countries.

Top 40, somewhere around #27 I'd say.

The first part sold well because of the curiosity around the track- Rihanna singing about domestic abuse, Rihanna and Eminem on the same song, etc- I can't see Part II getting nearly as much attention.

This should be at least the Top 15 when the album's released. However, there's a chance that it cannot be bought as it's the last track on the album.

But I'll be surprised if this will be not buyable separately. The demand for this (to be bought and eventually become the next single) should be huge.

Like with Airplanes Part II? I'll literally cry if LTWYL Part II is album only. :(

First peak... #30 or something?
- don't understand how the album release would make the single chart? Do the album tracks get released as singles aswell?

They get downloaded a lot sometimes and can chart, this has the widely overused term of "cherry picking".

It'll be doing extremely well, if it goes top 5 on cherry-picked album track sales alone.

Yes. Infact, I believe the highest-charting cherry-picked album track of all-time, that had not been planned to be released as a single at the time is the original LTWYL, and that got #7, although it got #2 in the US under the same circumstances (except they include airplay in their chart, and LTYWL would've had barely any, since album tracks aren't typically given airplay until they're announced as a single).

Top 20, then with airplay it will climb to the top 5 like Alicia. Without airplay I think it will stay in the top 40 a few weeks.

I hope What's My Name and Who's That Chick chart in the top 40, Hard missed out last year when Rated R was released
