Looks like they put three songs through to the final tonight...I guess they knew it would be a foregone conclusion that Aftur Heim would get through so wanted to level the playing field as much as they could for the other contenders.

So what are they going to do to "level the playing field" in the final? That's what I wanna know

It could be worse, it was very well performed, almost touching, and it's the second best song in there IMO. Still, poor brave Yohanna :(

I far prefer Ástin Min Eina to Aftur Heim, and would prefer to see that at ESC - although obviously Nott is my favourite overall by a mile. Aftur Heim is decent, Eg Lofa is ok and the other three are awful. I wonder if at ESC the name of the act will actually be 'Sjonni Brink's friends'

Iceland, Norway, Finland, Malta, Belgium have their finals on saturday 12th

Ireland and Azerbaijan this friday 11th :)

Hera's performing her new single apparantly too, so I'll definitely be watching Iceland. I'm not missing that for Babel Fish, Aste & Rikki, The Lucky Bullets and Sie Gubba :kink:

Choose none - Melodifestivalen 2nd semi all the way :w00t:

Stella has Norway MGP all wrapped up, the last betting odds I saw had her at 1/10, Helene at 13/1, Babel Fish at 15/1 and everyone else miles behind

Iceland will almost certainly send Sjonni Brink's friends with Yohanna languishing in 2nd with her stunning ballad :snif:

This. Hopefully Sanna Nielsen's song is another 'Empty Room' (though looking at the song title, it should be a faster tempo)

She had for an hour ago 63% of the votes in a poll at nrk.no too

I think she will have a result a la Rybak on saturday

edit: lol MGP talk in Iceland's NF

I watch MGP live, and record MF so i can watch later

Sanna Nielsen?

MF it is!

Yes! and it's apparently an uptempo so I'm hoping and praying for something along the lines of Nobody Without You

Sod MGP and Iceland.

Sanna all the way!

Fingers Crossed it'll be Nobody Without You turned to Uber on the orgasm scale.

MF is compulsive viewing, I never switch off in between or let my eyes leave the screen!

MGP is decent but the songs have been largely terrible this year, or the wrong choices have been made. Thank god for Stella or they could have sent a right load of old crap judging by the quality of half of the final :drama:

Iceland's songs are nearly always all forgettable/awful apart from a couple of gems. I'll only be watching the result of that one - to see the inevitable happen no doubt.

I might watch Ireland if I remember...

I never watch any other country's NF's, I don't think I have the time or mental capacity to remember so many (often mostly awful) songs - and my bandwidth couldn't take it anyway :drama:

From what I've heard it's much more uptempo than Nobody Without You and her other recent singles. And I'm thrilled about that! :D
