February 17, 201114 yr Much as I'm loving Slow Down, I'm getting the feeling it would've gotten a little bit lost in the mix - though the money note is fantastic as ever, it just isn't quite as powerful as the one-two punch of the double key change in Is It True? It would've done far, far better than Sjonni's Friends are about to do (and I think it's actually quite a tragedy they've gone - what a greater way to disrespect someone's memory than have their song tumble to the ignominy of a DNQ when nobody else in Europe gives a shit that they're dead?), and I reckon it would've likely done very well (a second top ten on the cards), but I don't think it was by any means certain. Anyway, knowing how small the talent pool seems to be in Iceland at the moment, it's inevitable we'll see her again in a year or two.

February 17, 201114 yr What double key change? Slight key change at 2:06 and another with the money note at 2:29. Or am I confusing myself?
February 17, 201114 yr Slight key change at 2:06 and another with the money note at 2:29. Or am I confusing myself? There's one key change at 2:06. The song stays in the same key at the money note. Money note =/= key change, and I think it's ESC Today or Scandipop or somebody who always seems to get this wrong and it bugs me.
February 17, 201114 yr Does the backing music not change key slightly during the money note? No more than it does in other choruses. It does the same chord progression at 1.50 and 2.38
February 17, 201114 yr Does the backing music not change key slightly during the money note? Doesn't sound like it. It does however sound like a change around 2:40 with the second money note because the backing singers seem to go up as well.
