Ooh, the girl singing Ástin mín eina judging by the picture did backing vocals for both Yohanna and Hera, and I'm sure the guy singing Elisabet was also a backing vocalist for Hera. Further proof Iceland just has a series of artists to send to ESC on rotation :kink: . Ástin mín eina is by far the best of those 5 songs.

Only Ástin is pronounced "Ou(like in 'ouch')-steen". Nothing like 'Ashton'.

No Eva this year :drama: Ragnhildur with some random guy. The studio still looks fantastically cheap but not as dark as last year, the recession is nearly over :w00t:

Good to see the studio is brighter as you say, plus there's a considerably larger audience this year. You could count them on one hand last year. Good to see the "green room" is still in the staff canteen :kink:

The quality of the Icelandic live feed never fails to amaze me. Why can't Melodifestivalen use the same level of technology :(

Forgot all of the songs were in Icelandic this year :o This is like you'd imagine a Howard Donald solo single to sound (he even looks like a ginger haired version of him!).

Elisabet was very good, far better than I remember it being when I first heard it :o . Hopefully him and Erna will qualify tonight.

Huldumey is easily my favourite of these songs, keeps on growing on me too. Love the instrumentation just before the chorus :wub: Hope it goes through to the final.

I'd agree with that, although I'd be gutted if Hanna goes no further.

Ha! Is this ballad about something overwhelmingly cheery, as her facial expressions would suggest so :heehee: Good song, my second favourite definitely but I'd be surprised if it wasn't this and Elisabet going through.

Oh dear :( . Well I'm glad Erna made it through. It's all down to Sweden and Denmark now as Finland also threw up a random result last night with Automatic Eye failing to qualify :wacko:
