Posted November 11, 201014 yr How do we all feel about this then? I can't believe the uproar it's caused on my Facebook (with regards to other friends' statuses). Even some of the comments on that website absolutely disgust me; eg, from one friend's status update, "Muslims allowed to 'protest' Remembrance day by holding up signs saying 'British soldiers burn in hell' etc whens our goverment going to grow some balls and deport these c**ts? If I held signs up saying 'Muslims burn in hell' they'd be uproar...". And a comment off of that news article, "Deport the lot of them. They shouldn't be over here if they cannot adopt aspects of our way of life." Aside from the fact that today's an awful choice of day to decide to protest and is in very bad taste, why can't people realise that these were Muslim Extremists, and isn't a collective/representative of all Muslims in England? Why just tarnish everyone with the same brush, to incite racial hatred amongst communities? Seriously my Facebook's quickly becoming amass with racial slurs etc, the ignorance of people is beyond me.
November 11, 201014 yr Siiiigh. People are so simple minded when it comes to things like this. Thing is, I can actually understand where they're coming from even if they did it on a very very bad day. But the sooner people like this realise they're not helping themselves or other muslims from simple minded folk the better.
November 11, 201014 yr So it takes a right wing violent demo to make this happen? Just why are the police and government allowing things to go this far anyway? When the extremeists show up with their hatred, a hate crime, they should be arrested immediately to let them know this won't be tolerated. Then it will be possible for everyone else to live peacefully.
November 11, 201014 yr Author "oh here we go with the f***ing anti muslim brigade who think a small bunch of extremists represent an entire religion but will argue to the death a small proportion of students dont represent the majority..." someone posted that on said friend's status. Not gonna lie, I think I love him.
November 11, 201014 yr Chemmie, I just posted that EXACT THING on a group that was posting about it and it got loads of likes lol! Apparently someone has been stealing from JamesP. SMALL WORLD
November 11, 201014 yr Author I feel duped and hustled :(. I take the love away from him and give it to you. I bet he's gutted now!
November 11, 201014 yr I actually agree with the Muslim group here, the troops should have been out of Afghanistan a long time ago, but they are perhaps going about it the wrong way. it's sad to see already in this thread theres a few ignorant people in this thread already, well done for misunderstanding things guys, good to see you support war and immediately think Muslims protesting means hateful extremists, you speak about them like they are Al Queda.
November 11, 201014 yr I think it's in extremely bad taste to protest on remembrance day in this manner. Ok, fine, i understand where they are coming from and i am firm believer that the war in the middle east is an illegal one, but Remembrance day is more than about remembering the lives lost in the middle east in the past decade, but all those lost in many many wars we have had the misfortune to be involved in. I am lucky enough not to have lost anyone to a war so don't personally take offence to the actions of this group, i will most certainly not be blaming Muslims in general for this, it's quite clearly the actions of a band of moronic thugs something which is not unique to one race, demographic, sex or religion. If this demonstration was held on a memorial day for Muslims by white Christians/atheists then there would have been arrests, it sickens me most of all that in this country you can disrespect our fallen hero's in this manner and get away with it because you are a minority. After all it's not racism if its aimed at the white majority
November 11, 201014 yr Apparently this is going around Blackberry Messenger '17th november the muslim festibal marking the day after arafat. The day of arafat is the most important day in the hajj ritual. WELL IT'S SHOW THESE c**ts HOW THE ENGLISH TERRORISTS WORK.. 17th ...november 12 o'clock meet at london bridge - be there' @ how ridiculous this whole thing is getting...
November 11, 201014 yr the amount of racism i have seen today makes me want to move country, seriously some of the things on Facebook are just so    if you respect your f***ing soldiers so much maybe you wouldnt let them go and get killed in the illegal war that these Muslims are protesting against.
November 11, 201014 yr http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lets-show-th...2676705?ref=sgm I think :manson: covers it.
November 12, 201014 yr Author 229, 595 members? That sickens me. Belligerent, ignorant pricks. Ugh. Effing hell this makes me angry man.
November 12, 201014 yr I hope them extremists burn in hell. I actually agree with the Muslim group here, the troops should have been out of Afghanistan a long time ago, but they are perhaps going about it the wrong way. it's sad to see already in this thread theres a few ignorant people in this thread already, well done for misunderstanding things guys, good to see you support war and immediately think Muslims protesting means hateful extremists, you speak about them like they are Al Queda. Are you serious. you agree with these scum. My dad is in the British Army and has served in Afghanistan and Iraq. So naturally these EXTREMISTS, make me sick. Arrest and deport the MINORITY who took part. And if they are British lock them up. This country needs to man up and stop giving into these hate campaigns. Do it in Afghanistan or a place where you wont be the national enemy.
November 12, 201014 yr It's obviously in very bad taste to protest when they did. Remembrance Day has always been about the efforts of the soldiers and NOT what they're fighting for, the debate about Afghanistan should really be saved for another day because these extremists won't gte a great deal of sympathy this way.
November 12, 201014 yr It's times like this I remember why I hate this country so much. People are such ignorant, single minded morons that it actually scares me.
November 12, 201014 yr Are you serious. you agree with these scum. Er, no. Saying they have the right to do it =/= agreeing with them. How are we 'giving into these hate campaigns'? Part of what makes this country so wonderful is that people have the right to say or protest whatever/however they wish, so long as it doesn't bring immediate harm to anybody. It's called free speech, and it's the bedrock of our democracy. Deporting them makes us no better than the sorts of nations they espouse.
November 12, 201014 yr What Tyron said. The single minded people who are using this to spread their xenophobia seem to think anyone who defends their RIGHT to do this or tries to say it's not representative of all muslims in the UK thinks their actions were justified. I for one got called a "p*ki wannabe" for saying such a thing. Anyway I just found this group, kind of restored some faith in people: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/30-ex...141588179224039
November 12, 201014 yr Here's my two-cents worth... Was it right for this group to do what they did yesterday..? No, it wasn't, it WAS in bad taste, but it was also borne out of a sense of anger and frustration, and just why the fukk is it that our Politicians decided to include Afghanistan and Iraq in ARMISTICE DAY anyway????? "Armistice" means 'a cessation of war and hostilities' that certainly doesn't apply to the ongoing situations in Afghanistan and Iraq, the bloody Govt has 364 other days in the year to designate a sort of "Help For Heroes/Afghanistan, Iraq" commemoration, it DOES NOT have to hijack the memorial to the dead of the two World Wars in order to try and legitimise its crusades, in fact, I find it morally reprehensible that Blair and Brown did this to begin with... My Grandfather fought in WW2, and he'd be fukkin' LIVID by what the govt has done, he was none too impressed when Thatcher, back in the day, decided to include the Falklands in Armistice Day... And, put it this way, would this action even have happened first place if our bloody "Gibberment" had actually listened to the 2 million people who marched peacefully against the war in 2003? Well, no, it wouldn't... So, when Govt doesn't listen to peaceful, rational protest and the countless online petitions that have been done, then what are people supposed to do? Militant action such as this shouldn't HAVE to happen, it's a pretty damning indictment of our "democratic" process that something like this has happened because what it is, is basically symptomatic of a break-down in democracy, and a refusal on the Govt's part to listen to the voice of the people. Similarly, you had the Student riot on Wednesday which was also borne out of frustration and anger... To give you an example - three years of PEACEFUL protest against the Poll Tax didn't work, one riot in Tragalgar Square did, and we got rid of the vile Thatcher as well.... You know, there's only so many nice, peaceful demos you can go on where you're all nice and civilised and singing "Kumbaya", or doing online petitions and then just get totally ignored in all cases by the powers-that-be, that you can do, before you just get totally fed up with this crap.... To all these fukkin' morons on Facebook - Yeah, that's right, off you go and spout out racist and fascist BNP crap and be totally unaware of the irony of your actions, my Grandfathers generation FOUGHT fascism, and here you are just pishing on his memory in an even worse manner than the Jihadis did yesterday... You w@nkers, he'd be absolutely bloody ashamed of you....
