Among the names of the composers we find Play And Win, a dance-music trio which are some of the leading music producers in Romania, responsible, for example, for the international hits of Inna and we also find Cristian Faur, who wrote Romania's entry in 2005 Let Me Try for Luminita Anghel & System and came 3rd in the Final in Kiev. Some of the artists also return to Selecţia Naţionala, like Hotel FM, Laurentiu Cazan, Blaxy Girls or Dalma.

This year, Romania will have their national selection on the last hours of 2010 and the first hours of 2011. The show itself will be hosted by their 2010 entrants, Ovi and Paula Seling.

The winning composer will be awarded this time a BMW series 3. It is for the second year that the national selection winner - the composer - gets a car.

Romania's entry, Playing With Fire, finished third in Oslo, giving the nation their best placing ever at Europe's favourite TV-show.

Can't wait to see what (Claudia) Pavel have to offer, looks like alot of Swedish names there :kink:

Oh God, a song with the word 'facebook' in the title :drama:

But I'm really looking forward to hearing the song written by Play & Win :o

Oh Romania, pretty decent entry last year although still not great comparing to the ones of 2006 and especially 2005 <3 And don't get me started on Balkan Girls and that mostrosity Nico & Vlad sang.
BTW the songs will compete on December 31st!

Is it 2011 already? :o :kink:

Play And Win :o

Is Elena the girl on the original version of Inna - Deja Vu?

The Play & Win song is play and lose, frankly. Dull, dull, dull :snif:

I'm too depressed to check out the rest now.

Is there anyone I may recognise here?

Like, anyone remotely famous?

Blaxy Girls have been trying to get to ESC several times. Also Claudia Pavel name is somewhat recognisable to me :o
Really like the Claudia Pavel track. And most of the songs on the selection are good, they might be the eastern european Sweden. They know how to make good pop music.

Edward Maya co-wrote Tornero! I think I mentioned that before on here but it's certainly an interesting fact!

My favourite Romanian entry was probably Nicola's Don't Break My Heart (how Bomfunk MC's was it though!?!), Playing With Fire or Let Me Try. All are solid and great!

I've liked all their entries except the 2007 one. Portugal has been VERY generous towards Romania in votings:

2004 Sanda Ladosi - I Admit

Romania 4pts

2005 Luminita Anghel & Sistem - Let Me Try

Romania 12pts

2006 Mihai Traistariu - Tornero

Romania 10pts

2007 Todomondo - I Love You

Romania 7pts

2008 Nico & Vlad - Pe-O Margine De Lume

Romania 4pts

2009 Elena Gheorghe - The Balkan Girls

Romania 2pts (juri didnt vote for it)

2010 Paula Seling & Ovi - Playing With Fire

Romania 10pts

I didn't like the 2007 or 2008 entries but I like all of the others. I Admit was ok but got overshadowed by a similar routine but far stronger song (imo) from Sweden's Lena Phillipsson, who either performed right after or right before her (can't remember)

2005 >>> 2006 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 2007 >>>>>>> 2010 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 2008 >>>>...(infinity) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 2009

Don't remember the 2004 entry

2005 Let Me Try - Luminita Anghel & System <3

That was great. As was Tornero

Too true

Balken Girls was incredible, still is.

Playing With Fire however

Utterly sublime. I'm just discovering how amazing the Romanian music scene is
