I pre-ordered my copy just last night and it isn't out until 6th December. I wasn't pleased, as Toy Story 3 has already been released, even though it had its cinema release after Eclipse -_-

That's good then, if it's getting strong pre-orders :D

And I know "we could argue what's Kids stuff & what ain't.", but how is 'Toy Story 3' not included when 'How To Train Your Dragon' is? Is it just the difference between a U & a PG?

They are targeting the Christmas market but it has been a long time to wait :(

No surprises on the number one...but will this Scottish lady climb higher for Sunday? That's Gillian McKeith of course.

Why do you not include 'Kids' DVDs anyway?

If we did, there would be times when the top 10 would be full of cartoons & lots of other animated stuff. And given the fact our top ten is based on rentals as well as sales, proper Kid stuff hardly ever does that well on rentals anyway.

And that is a problem because...?

That'd be like not allowing Justin Bieber singles to chart. It's not pleasant to see them there but if they sell, they sell and should be included.

Im sure Kylie will get number 1 with better than today in the phyisical chart just like get outta my way and all the lovers did.

I see Kylie has made the top 40, I hope Kylie remains top 40 come Sunday, all it needs is a bit of promo from somewhere.

I think it will, I can see Duffy who is above it at #39 falling to #42.

That'd be like not allowing Justin Bieber singles to chart. It's not pleasant to see them there but if they sell, they sell and should be included.

It ain't a problem, it's just the way MRIB used to do it. So, we follow suit as all the charts we compile are done in the old MRIB way, as the whole tread tributes all those charts that used to appear in the likes of the Sunday People, News Of The World, & Mail On Sunday etc. All kids titles would appear in their own dvd chart, as like TV related shows do too.

It can't be compared to the singles chart, as most people who buy singles aren't adults anyway. Hence Reggie Yates presentation on Radio One. You can quite easily say if it wasn't for the under 18s, the singles chart wouldn't exist anyway...probably! I mean it's not like the Singles of yesteryear, when a big age range actually bought singles. The truth is...Today there is no big age range buying singles. Except when certain artists release singles i.e. your Westlife, & the other nobs that think X Factor is better than sliced bread.

Cheers Dave!

I owned 4 out of the top 5 singles back in 1985! Dee C Lee was gorgeous and she sang her single better than Girls Aloud did!

The #50 single appears to have the artist and title the wrong way round...

Apart from that, great stuff!

interesting they take the kids stuff out of the dvd chart.what about xmas dvds which arent cartoons but are childrens films\-\eg a wonderful life, home alone and santa claus the movie which will sell well in december!!

maybe they should do the same in the uk top 40?!!

It's A Wonderful Life a children's film? I do agree that a chart without Justin Bieber and Willow Smith would be rather wonderful

Thanks Dave
