No, because these polls are chart related and a lot of members don't visit the genre forums, btw I don't really understand why you haven't asked first a chart mod about this idea? ;)

We have though rules about chart polls, and people should read those rules before making any prediction threads: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=2744435

I'd rather have the decision chose by the people who use this part of Buzzjack the most, rather than from one senior member.

I don't think many people have read those rules, including me. I think we can't rely on members to consider others discretion so it would be easier to have a pinned section or a sub-forum devoted to polls where everybody could find all the polls made and be able to find them easier rather than searching through pages of other threads.

Perhaps we should, but they seem to get treated like software licence agreements - you just click through them unread... :P

You're right but this will happen also with the pinned index topic sadly, although as I said I liked your idea.

I understand you but this is about re-organising the chart forum, and I'd rather see members discuss first with mods. I'm sure chart mods wouldn't be against making a general discussion topic after you've asked them ;)

Yeah, but I did make the thread  Anyway, it's a bit late to do that now? And I don't know who the Chart Mod & Chart Leader are? So how would I be able to 'contact them'

It's easy, but here is the list: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?a...rs_display_name

If you go to the index of the forum: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/

And scroll down to the bottom of the page, you can see this list: Admin. | Admin | Global Mod | Chart Leader | Chart Mod | Editorial | Graphics | Moderator | Members

If you click on one of them, you can see the moderator list ;)

But I'm sure you know Mikey or britster, or Jester, Slick (they are the admins), you can contact them. Plus all those members whose names are brown, are also chart mods.

So do you advise me to do this now? Isn't it a bit late?
I was thinking, as there are so many individual song polls regarding where you think it will chart, cluttering up the UK Chart forum; Should they be moved to their corresponding genre forum? (Pop, Indie, Dance, RnB etc.) Because half of the posts on the first page of the UK Chart forum are polls, for the likes of 'Ellie Goulding - Your Song' & 'The Saturdays feat. Flo Rida - Higher'. And I thought they would be more appropriate placed with the thread discussing it in each genre forum.

I think you're forgetting the most important thing - if there are a lot of poll threads on the first page, it's because visitors have a lot to say about the chart positions of certain songs.

Discussing the iTunes chart and predicting where a song will peak are the Hot Topics in the Chart Forum at the moment :).

It's only a temporary problem due to the packed Q4 schedule. I don't remember there being many around in summer, or any other time of the year really... besides, I don't think this forum runs so fast that they push off anything that hasn't already been discussed at length off the first page.

NO to a sub forum, what's the point, some odd member will probably revise an old prediction dated from 2009 (for example), bit of a pointless exercise.
So do you advise me to do this now? Isn't it a bit late?

Oh Christ, that's not the point. Same kind of ideas for the future... ;)

Edit: With same kind of requests (that is about re-organising the forum) please contact a mod before making a thread. They are the mods/admins anyway who can change the forum. Thanks! ;)
