eh? hardly mate, who would wanna waste their life thinking about stupid things like

boybands beating each other? Do not jump to conclusions please.

Maybe your one of those crazy women in the que in front of me at hmv who should be

re-applying their HRT patches instead of buying music. lol

Just because you're patch has slipped due to poor Westlife sales ... doesn't mean you can insult others!

Now put your button-back slippers back on and have a nice cup of cocoa!

Kath

danalco should read what i said as i didnt even do any comparisons between bands nor did i mention any other band apart from take that, attention seeking me thinks.
hahhahaaha i would never on earth be jealous of some men called take that. westlife's album is comfortably better than take that's. . .

you are completely deluded, cant wait for westlife to miss the top 10 this week, they couldnt even beat second week take that sales in the irish singles chart.....that makes it even funnier that their own country prefer take that over them lol - oh and take that progress has also hit number 1 in the album charts, something westlife can only dream about doing next week

lol we have more number ones in UK & ireland than take that. weve sold more than them, we are the best selling band of the century (decade). . .

Yes! Now hurry along! You're Ovaltine is getting cold.

Of course westlife would have sold more they have been around alot longer as take that took a 10 year absence and westlife have released more singles and albums than take that. Has any westlife album managed 2.4 million sales in the UK alone?

we? strange that you consider yourself to be part of them lol

take that combined have 19 no.1's, 13 no 1 albums, performed to millions more than westlife and sold over 90 million records

plus they write their music, something westlife will never do

and take that have the fastest selling album of the century and second fastest first day sales ever....cant see westlife coming anywhere near that and that is a nice way of putting it aha

lol. . . i will add shane's and mark's solo career sales and i will tell you. . . lol. . . 19 no1's. . . they where 2 different artists until last year, what the hell are u talking about? westlife had 10 no1 singles in less tan 3 years!!!!!

You are reminding me of of a certain Mr Walsh. The facts are Westlife's popularity has been on a sharp decline for the last number of albums. Their last album sold less than 1M copies globally which is a shocking result. So far this single looks set to be their worst ever chart performance for a lead single from an album. The album will probably sell less than their last.

Best selling band of the century? Well yes, but TT are going to overtake them to that title very soon, possibly even with this album. And don't forget the #1 act of the century is Robbie himself. Westlife have not sold more albums or singles in the UK. Outside the UK yes Westlife have sold more but they have also released more albums - plus their global sales are constantly being inflated. They have sold around 40M records - TT have sold around 36M - it is only a matter of time before TT overtake them. The last time a Westlife album sold over 3M worldwide was their Greatest Hits back in 2002 - since then they have had several albums sell under 2M WW and a couple of others that barely passed that figure. TT are more popular in the UK than Westlife are in the entire world.

What do you predict Westlife's first week sales will be next week for the album? Do you think they will manage half of what 'Progress' sold in it's first day? :smoke:

Couldn't have put it better myself

ur hate about westlife is soooo pathetic. . . u hate them because they were successful. . . what a joke. . . anw i hate take that back, they are crap singers (except gary barlow tbh - i have much respect for his abilities and only. . .)

'Progress' will be sold for just £1, at Amazon.uk, from Monday 22nd November onwards.

'The Gift', by Susan Boyle, will also be just £1, from Amazon.uk.

They will be £1 each, all next Week.

Yes - their £1 Amazon.uk Sales WILL count towards the UK Album Chart.

It is how much the Retailer pays, for a CD, that counts - not what the

Customer pays. As long as Amazon.uk pay the right amount for each CD

- which they are - the Sales of those CD's will count towards The OCC

Album Chart. (They could sell them for 1p, if they liked - they'd still

count towards the UK Album Chart).

this is a total push for them to remain another week at the top, despite having a worse album than westlife's. . .

I heard this earlier today. It is shocking. Amazon will make a huge loss in profit but obviously attract loads of people to the site who will buy other things. Due to the media picking up on this it could damage TT's sales tomorrow as people will buy it next week for £1, however potential sales next week are going to be insane due to this. It is not out of the question it will pass the 1M mark by next Sunday. Has this sort of thing ever happened before with a new release? It is going to be very interesting to see how successful it turns out to be. Consdering how huge sales are on Amazon and how this is being publicized in the media - they better have enough stock of both albums as the demand is going to be huge, especially considering people will not pass up the chance of getting away with spending only a pound for a Xmas present for someone

C'm on guyz go easy on Westlife... Haven't listened to the album but safe is not THAT bad...

No need to prove TT have a wider appeal really.

Charis do you sincerely believe Robbie has talent at all? And TT are junk? Anyway even if TT sell 1million by next friday it won't reduce Westlife's sales, they are going to sell what they would. (~100K) Progress will sell 600K in one week even BEFORE the special offer. This could be beyond what Westlife will sell during the whole year. Their single (although it is not bad imo) is also not doing well. It will strugle to keep a low top10 place.

ever since take that came back westlife have fallen big time, De Niro's are completely correct, westlife's last album just about crept to double platinum, and i wouldnt be suprised if this new one follows the single and flops as well!!

compare that to Progress, it'll probably go double platinum by the end of the week and sell millions across europe...westlife's album will be in the bargain bin within a month :P

Of Take That's eleven #1 singles, only two were covers - "Relight My Fire" and "How Deep Is Your Love".

Of Westlife's fourteen #1 singles, SIX were covers - "I Have A Dream", "Against All Odds", "Uptown Girl", "Mandy", "You Raise Me Up" and "The Rose".

Looking at Westlife's eight other #1s, none of them were written by the members of Westlife, while Gary Barlow has at least a co-writing credit on all 9 of Take That's other #1s.

Just saying. :P

i am supporting westlife as singers. . . they have written many songs though that weren't released. they are hard working theres no doubt, also safe is the only song i skip on the new album gravity. its really interesting and its a shame its not getting to number one. . .
