I was just reading the Chat Box on thesaturdaysdaily.org and someone was selling genuine signed The Sats 'Higher' CD's on eBay. He said he got them signed at a video shoot they were at the other day.

I don't think they were recording the album today; it may have been a new 'B-Side' for the next single, hopefully.

I think they should release Here Standing or Died In Your Eyes in January or early Feburary before the tour starts

If they wish to release a 4th (6th :P) single from Headlines then it should be Karma or Puppet in late April, but I dont think it is worth releasing a 4th single. As it would be the 6th song to be lifted from Headlines which is overkill really. Leave it after the 3rd single then come back in June or July with a new single (enough time for people to notice they are gone as they have been pretty constant promotion since august for Missing You/Headlines/Higher. As with too much exposure and not enough of a gap between eras we're gonna go all wordshaker again.

 

So yeah come back in June or July with the 1st single from album 4 (or 3 if we are pretending wordshaker doesn't exsist) release the 2nd single in October (hopfuly getting an XFactor slot in 2011) followed by the album.

As much as that sounds a good idea, it woudn't be feasable for a band like The Saturdays.

 

It would be impossible for them to release 6 singles in the space of 12 months. It would physically take the tole on them, and we'd probabbly end up seing a lack of quality in their performances too (and that's comparing to them now miming). The ammount of money spent on promotion, marketting and advertisement would be rediculas because it'd be unlikely they'd make any profit on it or be able to split even.

 

In the current market, albums make the real money and I personally don't think releasing a total of 7 singles from what was originaly an 8 track album wouldn't work. I mean what if every single just had an 'Ego' effect on the album and only just scraped it Top 40 again. Too risky for this era.

 

It may of worked with Chasing Lights, but you've got to remember, there was 2 singles before the album, and another one of the singles was included in a re-issue which is why they got decent sales and chart positions (apart from Work) and good album sales.

 

I'd say release final single from Headlines Dec/Jan then release 1st single from album no.4 in the Summer, followed by a second single, then album.

I think its time for a ballad; 'Here Standing' please :P I wouldn't consider 'Missing You' a ballad, more electropop.

It has be one of the Wordshaker tracks. The Headlines ones just aren't strong enough.

I agree, but I can see if they go with One Shot, it getting to #22 like Work.

that number #22 haunts me, i was worried after seeing it THREE flipping times that Higher wasn't gonna get much er, Higher, but thank the lord i was wrong!

 

anyway, i think releasing One Shot is a bad idea as its already appeared on 2 formats of Headlines and on Wordshaker.

 

i'd go with a release of 'Here Standing' or 'Karma' in January, in a QUIET week. It will get top ten then drop, but Headlines should benefit.

 

then take a break, let the girls have a month or two off, get papped on the beach etc. then in July unviel the new single, promote it like f***, release it, #1!

then single two comes in October, hopefully some promo from SCD or TXF, promote it like crazy, #1, then release the album the next week.

actually you could move all that forward another month, so Single 1 - June, Single 2 - Spetember. SaturSummer! :)

It scared me enough thinking how fast they're going. They've only released their debut single back in July 2008, and 2years and 5 months later, they're working on their 4th album. Crazy!

I can confirm Here Standing is the 3rd single from Headlines.

 

A new remix leaked earlyer today titled 'Cutmore Christmas Sleigh Ride Mix' which confirms itself for Christmas/New Year release.

 

Here Standing was originally planned to be third single from Wordshaker, follow up to 'Ego' as WAWA had infact mixed it, and they confirmed they had, and that was after new year, months ahead of Here Standings original release. Therefore this mix confirms itself next single.

I wish you were the Saturdays manager-- Everything you said is ryt!! If you told me of them appearing on SCD a few weeks ago, i would've said no way, but after CIN with Roch, they could ask them. I also think they should come back with a new image. Don't know what tho.
