17 Nov 2010

Take That will appearing live on Children In Need this Friday night, to perform TWO songs live on the programme; their new single, The Flood, and the 90's Take That classic, Never Forget… yippee!

Children In Need is an annual event, aiming to raise money to help improve the lives of those disadvantaged children and young people all over the UK, so tune in to the show on BBC1 from 19:00 GMT on Friday, 19th November and snuggle in for a night of true entertainment - don't forget to give generously, too!

Last year's event, Children In Need Rocks, at the Royal Albert Hall, famously saw Robbie and the four boys from Take That re-united on stage for the first time in 14 years as superstars including Sir Paul McCartney, Dame Shirley Bassey, Annie Lennox, Cheryl Cole, Dizzee Rascal and a whole galaxy more, joined forces to help raise some cash… all in the name of charity!

Donate to Children in Need.

They've got a pretty poor time slot though (between 9.30 and 10.00 according to RT) ... IACGMOOH is on the other side. It isn't much better for JLS ... they're on at the start of the 9.00 - 9.30 slot.

To be honest ... I just can't stand CIN. I wish Gary or someone else would have got another concert under way so you could keep up with all the musical acts without having the interminable unfunny sketches and the constant pleading. Half the people taking part objected to an extra 1% on their taxes so f*ck knows why they expect the ordinary Joe Public to bail out what the Government should be paying for.

Besides ... Shaun Ryder is just too good to miss.

Shaun had his own little 'John Torrode / Greg Wallace' moment going there! Commentating on the various merits of his dinners!

Oh God. I hate CIN. I try to avoid it every year. Dire beyond words.

I'd donate more if they promised to keep it off the telly <_<

I never usually watch it but i will tune in as there are afew acts i wana see perform, no doubt take that will have another power house performance.
I'd like to have heard them sing another track from the new album but maybe they felt that was over commercialisation on a charity night -_-

They're performing The Flood and Never Forget - the one Take That song he featured on first time yet never got around to singing live.

Kath

Im delighted with the song choices and it will be good to see robbie join them singing never forget, classic song that i always have and always will love.

Will be good to hear them do Never Forget for the first time as a five piece live. Kind have preferred it to have been on the tour though in a massive stadium with all the Queen-like clapping from the crowd as oppose to in a tiny BBC studio.
Never forget will be a huge highlight on the tour as its anthemic at the best of times but with robbie in there aswell the crows will go crazy for it.

They always do Never Forget on tour. They'd never miss it out. I must admit I prefer it live than on record.

Kath

I've never watched it but I think the fans outside UK can watch it HERE

The Flood- better than on XFactor

Never Forget- aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I got goosebumps :yahoo: really good for a first performance of the song after so many years  I think Robbie was a bit confused by the end with the la la la la la-s and come on come on... everybody sing this song :kink: but all in all a beautiful performance  I would never say they're in their 40s :D

the 90sssssss

Awwwww I thought they were brilliant tonight. :yahoo:

Robbie much more relaxed than on X Factor.

Howard sung Never Forget really well too.

That was a great performance.

**But sorry I can't take my eyes off Robbie. I just find him very magnetic as a performer. Even when doing his backing group Doo Wops and La Lahs  That guy should consider going solo I think :o ;) **

I LOVED that! I love that song ... and the first time that the five have sung it live ... and I loved Rob on it too!

I thought Rob was much more relaxed on The Flood too tonight.

Kath

Yes Rib was definitly more relaxed on singing the flood tonight, it was a great performance but not quite as magical as the x factor performance for me. Never forget was great and an absolute classic never fails to put a smile on my face, i really wish they could have howard sing lead on a future epic single like that.

Class performance from TT tonight! They really are a live act! Robbie sang much better indeed... (and Howard can actually sing! :o he sounded better live than he sounds at the :puke2: affirmation)

Never forget + Flood are already climbing!
