I know :( even though you warned me i was still so disappointed in Maria. Breathing and Hold On Be Strong are such brilliant albums.

Charis - Quality over Quantity any day of the week. Pestlife may have had 4 albums with 17/18/19/20 tracks on them but they are yet to produce enough quality material to fill a one track single.

It was just so bland and nothingy. Thank god for Precious To Me and Extra Mile saving a completely lifeless affair...hope album #4 sees her back to her Hold On Be Strong style - classy but fun pop. Get Mira back in on the writing front and problem solved!

Agreed entirely! Precious To Me was sublime [it speaks volumes when the best track is a bloody cover]

She needs to shun that hubby of hers and get on the phone to Mira Mira asap. Plus Maria can kickstart Mira into doing her 4th album as well!

Ten is perfect I say (with maybe a hidden track at the end) :P I find that you always have a few fillers look at Gagas Fame monster I know it's an EP but it was solid and brilliant where as the Fame's 16 tracks had a few poor tunes.

I've always thought that anything more than 13 tracks or anything over an hour is when an album starts to get poor. The best are generally 10-12 tracks which last an average of 3-4 minutes.

I've just had a look at the lengths and amount of songs on the 20 albums that last year I rated as my favourite of the decade.

Nothing over an hour, and only 2 over 13 tracks, but both of those are amongst the shortest as the majority of songs are 2-3 minutes in length!
