This is the third time Your Song reaches the Top 10 - and the highest position!

What is the record of how many times a song has charted in top 10? I know Unchained Melody has been #1 three times.

Foster & Allen have released Top 40 albums since 1984 but seems that they are yet to reach Top 10.

Unchained Melody has been number one four times (Jimmy Young, Righteous Brothers, Robson and Jerome, Gareth Gates) with two other top ten versions (Al Hibbler and Les Baxter). Three of those versions (plus a Liberace one that made number 20) were all in 1955.

SKOB - I think that 'Unchained Melody' must hold the record, for the

Song that has been a UK Top 10 Hit the most times. It has been to

No.1 FOUR times - not 3.

1) Jimmy Young - No.1 (3 Weeks) - 1955

2) Al Hibbler - No.2 - 1955

3) Les Baxter - No.10 - 1955

4) Righteous Brothers - No.1 (4 Weeks) - 1990

5) Robson & Jerome - No.1 (7 Weeks) - 1995

6) Gareth Gates - No.1 (4 Weeks) - 2002

With 2 Weeks in the Top 10, for 'The Flood', Take That have

become only the 6th Group, to spend 100 Weeks, (or more),

in the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart:,

GROUPS WITH 100 (OR MORE) TOP 10 WEEKS (UK SINGLES CHART)

(Number of Top 10 Singles in Brackets)

1) SHADOWS - 259 (41) (Includes 152 Weeks, & 25 Top 10 Hits with Cliff Richard) ***

2) BEATLES - 192 (28)

3) ABBA - 114 (19)

4)=ROLLING STONES - 108 (21)

4)=QUEEN - 108 (26)

6) TAKE THAT - 100 (19)

*** = The Shadows would drop to 5th place, if we removed their Hits with Cliff (107 Weeks - 16 Top 10 Hits)

NOTE - If you count the Everly Brothers, (if you regard Duos as Groups), then they’d be

4th in the List - 112 Top 10 Weeks, & 13 Top 10 Hits

Strange how Westlife are nowhere near the 100 week mark (they're only on 76 weeks) despite having 25 top 10 hits, an average of just over 3 weeks in the top 10 for each of their singles.
