Would The Saturdays be successful if they were fat and menopausal? Strange comment to make re: The Wanted. You could say any artist wouldn't be successful if they were this or that.

However The Wanted achieved their success, they've achieved it, so good luck to them. Fans of The Saturdays should stop being bitter and appreciate what they do have going for them, not whine because The Wanted have been given different opportunities. Heck, maybe if The Saturdays hadn't have dumped Jayne, then she would have managed to swing an X Factor performance for them this year. :)

I only said that because they're a boy band :P I didn't mean it as a whole; its just something about boybands, they gain A LOT of their popularity on the fact that they are good looking.

I mean looking back it is a stupid thing to say but to some extent its true.

Well, not that I'm wishing to go off-topic, if Bieber is good-looking and a plenty of girls "love him", then he would've sold much more than he had this year. And there are few "good-looking" boybands that are actually under-the-radar. Just saying.

And I agree with -Jay-'s second paragraph!

hear hear.

This is kinda off topic anyway, we're not actually discussing The Saturdays, but The Wanted.

May have to close it.

I think this is the right place to post this but I made a fake intro vid for the Saturdays as if they were appearing on the show as this thread got me thinking :) (Because I Am that cool lol) Its in the style of the Girls Alouds X Factor intro JSYK

Enjoy!

Woops, just to conclude I hope I didn't come off as The Wanted hating because theyre the only current boyband I like.

Some people in this thread have very strange ideas about how the process of booking a popstar to perform on the X Factor works. There are two ways that acts are booked to perform:

-The X Factor get in touch with the artist's management because they specifically want them on (the biggest-name popstars)

-The artist's management get in touch with the X Factor because they want a chance to promote (smaller names like The Wanted)

If the Sats' management haven't attempted to do that then of course they're not going to be on. If they had attempted it then a promo slot would've been booked most likely. The fact that The Wanted are on has approximately ZERO relation to The Saturdays not being.

It kinda does. They're managed by The Sats ex-manager (you did know that right, because I thought everyone knew that). It's no relation to the band members specifically but the fact that they're manager is The Sats ex-manager makes it relevent. Ya'no, like what if they were still with Jayne? Would they of got a slot then? I'm not sure.

That's what all the fuss is about, and the fact they've been around for a few months and The Sats for over 2yrs.

Still, it's all 'what if's' and not really anything to do with The Saturdays.
