Monrose dissolve

12 000 soccer fans are counting months, contrary since that night. But if tomorrow the ISS Dome in Dusseldorf Europe's biggest music event increases, many are very, very sad. Because they experience at "The Dome 56" probably the last major TV appearance of Monrose !

Although the last single "Like a Lady" was successful, was from the fourth album. "Lady Like" only 30 000 copies sold below expectations with. 50 000 pieces should have been sold, at least cost system to merge the. The record deal is not so extended.

What next? Mandy to get started as a solo artist, moderate Senna a TV show and also sing alone a CD. Bahar offers are available from Turkey.

Oh no, please no :( Only got into them recently, but so shocked and upset they've split :o

Ahh dear.

They had some alright hits actually. Weird split-up though, kind of came from nowhere.

No it didn't, I was surprised to see another album from them.

I liked their last couple of albums but their music is not really relevant.

Only because German radio is incredibly prejudiced against groups from reality contests. Like A Lady was one of their most successful singles despite only making it as high as 60-odd on the airplay chart. They were clearly relevant.

Anyway big shame. Ladylike is fantastic. Shame they had to go out on a single as weak as Breathe You In though.

Senna in TV show? I`m not surprised. She was invited occasionally to VIVA Germany and treated like a normal VJ. I guess this is just about this channel. I`m glad I have it in my cable TV...

"It`s such a Shame"!!! I don`t think any of them made a solo career. Too much time they are together. Perhaps only in Germany ...

BTW, great song!

Apparently that article in the first post was just speculation. At the press conference the girls said they split because they would have to negotiate a new contract for their fifth album and didn't want to split up if and when they got dropped a year or two down the line. They wanted to go out on a high basically. In a way I'm almost glad.

Pics of their final performance (they did Breathe You In and a medley of Shame/Hot Summer/Like A Lady) :D

They're SUPERSTARS. Look how amazing they look as a group. The Saturdays aren't even 1/10th as polished as that.

I'm sad that they split, I think they were the strongest european German girl-group in many years. "Breathe You In" a fabulous ballad and I hope it charts decently in Germany over the Xmas period.

I really like Breathe You In actually. It has a very early 00's girlgroup sound to it - I instantly thought of some of the songs (not singles) on Atomic Kitten's debut album when I first heard it. So yes it probably sounds a bit dated, but I'm not bothered, there's still a place in my heart for this type of music
