The BEP song is fantastic (even though it sounds like a medley of like 5 other songs)!!! :D Probably my favourite in the top 10, along with Like a G6 and the 3 Rihanna songs.

I'm in love!!! so much people are waiting for a new materiel from them... I wish they would release this on Sunday and not today, the peak will be bad because of that.

In regards to the BEP track its one of the worst songs of the year. Unfortunately will be huge after X Factor :puke:

I know but the xfactor dosen't gurantee number one.. just think Joe got 6! Micheal Buble got 11! and this bep song i think is worse.

 

Dont rub it in, i was gutted that i missed muse. I was all hyped for them and black eyed peas but i seen them on at the same time, beyond gutted. Saturday i seen Eminem though so that makes up for it, on sunday i picked guetta over kasibian.. but i'm gutted i missed muse

Amazing to see this doing so well, hopefully it can break the top 10 later today (and then ideally also go top 10 officially, not do a Muse and enter at 11 then plummet out of the top 40)

 

I haven't actually listened to it yet but it's Coldplay, so it's pretty much guaranteed to be good in my books. :D

It's really hard to see what could be #1 next week. Nothing really screams out. I guess if Black Eyed Peas don't do it then the other option is Willow Smith o_o Unless Nicole or Ellie manage to climb up, which seems unlikely to me, or Coldplay take off in a big way :o

 

I don't see the Black Eyed Peas song particularly appealing much to the people who watch X Factor (or at least ones who don't have it already). Mind you, it only needs a small % of the audience to download it and it'll be #1, so the odds of it finding that small % are pretty high :( Boo.

less than 12 hours and the most of it was a night... wow wow wow, release a new MATERIEL ASAP!!!

I only read about the Coldplay single the day before, but having listened to it - and indeed bought it, it's a slam dunk instant Christmas classic, if it doesn't chart well this week - and it may yet - then I wouldn't be in the least bit amazed to see it really build up a head of steam in the next couple of weeks - it's ages since we had a new really A class Xmas song from anyone - and this is definitely a keeper.

See that Hurts track is a good example of the whole problem with the Hurts - it's trying hard but they just don't have a knack with melody lines - they ache so much to be a classic band and yet they just don't cut it. It's a shame because they mean well - they just need a moment of inspiration - they need to go up about 6 gears and then they'll be onto something.
