If 'Heroes' keeps dropping down iTunes throughout the week, I wouldn't be that surprised if the track ended up dropping out of the top 10 next Sunday. Could be the biggest drop from #1 this year beating the 01-09 plummet for 'Everybody Hurts'.

Maybe Cheryl will perform 'The Flood' at some point during next weekends X Factor final. Especially when there's likely to be 16+ million viewers, that's her only chance at promoting the song.

That seems unlikely. It's not like the physical is going to stop selling all of a sudden.

 

I can see it dropping to #5. The 2009 one managed to go 1-2-5 so I don't see why this one would drop out of the entire top 10.

What, you mean in the same way that nobody bought Firework before X Factor? Or the same way that Bad Romance could only finally get to #1 after Gaga performed it? Or how Russian Roulette could only get #1 on iTunes when Rihanna performed it?

Yeah The Flood hasnt picked up very well, a lot of people will just say it has a while till its official release, but it really isnt going anywhere at the moment, i think its a really weak song unfortunately.

exactly, the only difference is the BEPs download was released at the start of november and has been and was leaving until an artifical rise due to the xfactor performance this late in its chart career.the other singles such as firework all had completely different circumstances.

I've suddenly really fallen in love with Your Song the vids really lovely (hardly ever use that word lol) but sadly the chart keeps sidetracking with x factor finalists and now big new releases then there's the Christmas chart so I guess Ellie wont finally get a no.1 now :(
