3rd December

The third song behind the Advent Calendar doors is...'About A Girl (Keisha)'! This was premiered on Radio 1 the day it was announced 'Get Sexy' entered at #2, just a few weeks before Keisha was out of the band.

I hate About a Girl :(. It was a very disappointing follow-up to Get Sexy, and I hate the 'RedOne' at the start. I actually prefer Jade's version.

I still wonder where it would've charted withou the KeishaGate though, maybe #1?

I don't think it would have got #1 if KeishaGate never happened, they had quite a few big songs in the chart on it's week of release, but I could have seen it chart around #5 and had a longer chart run, and I would imagine 'Sweet 7' would have done far better than it has done!

Had Keisha not been fired it had a chance of top3, mainly because they wouldn't have lost over half their fan base and they'd have had promo.

I much prefer all the Keisha songs to the Jade ones.

Aiden, i added the two live performances i could find on youtube with Keisha.

In the top one it is glaringly obvious that Keisha didn't have a fucking clue what was going on. #TeamKeisha

Ah thanks for adding them Silas! I forgot where the performances with Keisha were so I couldn't find them :P
I was convinced they did it at Capital FM, but apparently not. The only ones on youtube were AYN, Get Slutty, PTB and the orgasmic performance of TYFTH.

I'm quite surprised at that tbh, although I guess they were trying to see how the fans reacted to some new music.

And  at 'Get Slutty' :P

I guess it was supposed to be promo for Get Sexy, and AAG hadn't even premièred on the radio yet. No idea why they did it at that random festival though. The MSN gig was after it had been given it's radio première and they did TYFTH and NMY as the album was due for release shortly after.

Instead of a fan reaction to new music they got a fan riot over Keisha-gate which overshadowed the entire era, and will probably overshadow the rest of 4.0's days.

Don't get me wrong, i love Get Sexy especially the chorus with it's electro and the incredible Video [Just how fit is Keisha!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!] but it's a completely whorey/trashy track

Yeah, was quite a random performance at that low-profile festival, but it was still great to hear it. I remember being on such a buzz after just hearing that live performance.

Even though it will always be there whilst 4.0 are around, I'm hoping the next album will return back to the sound from 'Taller In More Ways'/'Change', and considering what we've heard so far I'm hoping it will!

Haha yeah, I loooooved the song when I first heard it (still do but nowhere near as much), but it always did seem to be a way for them to try and get bigger success.

I'm hoping its more 2.0 than Change as Change is such a patchy album.

What they need is Cathy Dennis, Xenomania, Linda Perry, Richard X, Jony Rockstar, Bloodshy & Avant [WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPERNATURAL *dies*], Karen Poole, Dallas Austin, Dr Luke, Klas Åhlund, Stargate and The Smeezingtons.

Try and tell me that album wouldn't be cum-worthy

I found 'Change' quite a decent album, but 4.0's vocals would seem to go better on the material from 2.0 rather than 'Change', so I would hope for more 'AWDF'/'TIMW'
the did do AAG at Capital but they never released the video for it, i think the audio may be out there somewhere.

Ah-ha! I swore they did it.

Sugafiles doesnt have an Audio for it.

They definitely did as I remember them tweeting it and Capital saying it.

4th December

The fourth song behind the advent calendar is, 'New Year'! This was the second single released from the whole group in December 2000 and peaked at #12. Easily one of my favourite 'Christmas' songs. :D
