November 23, 20204 yr Actually watched Home Alone for the first time in aaaaages yesterday and was shocked that Kevin's mom is Catherine O'Hara (Moira from Schitt's Creek)! It holds up alright after all these years.
November 24, 20204 yr Fred Claus was one of my favourites as a kid! I hadn't watched it in years before last week but I was really surprised to see so many famous faces! Miranda Richardson, Kathy Bates, Trevor Peacock (from The Vicar of Dibley), Kevin Spacey, John Michael Higgins, Elizabeth Banks, Ludacris, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Frank Stallone, Roger Clinton, Jr. and Stephen Baldwin playing themselves in the "Siblings Anonymous" scene of people overshadowed by their famous siblings which COMPLETELY skipped over me when I was younger as I had no clue who these people were
November 24, 20204 yr This Sunday it will be time for Dolly Parton's Christmas on the Square on Netflix with Christine Baranski, can't wait for that one :cheer:Â This is on my to watch list, but the OH insists we wait until December annoyingly. I'm expecting Lifetime Christmas movie with a bigger budget, but anything for La Baranski.
November 24, 20204 yr This is on my to watch list, but the OH insists we wait until December annoyingly. I'm expecting Lifetime Christmas movie with a bigger budget, but anything for La Baranski. I started it Sunday night and fell asleep, something was off about it for me. Think it was Dolly herself that made it weird.
November 29, 20204 yr I watched Happiest Season at the cinema tonight and it is potentially a classic already! Such an amazing film with all you could want from a Christmas movie and more. Stellar cast that all know how to pull the heartstrings
November 30, 20204 yr I started it Sunday night and fell asleep, something was off about it for me. Think it was Dolly herself that made it weird. I watched it at the weekend and it was absolute shit. Not even so bad it's good (which is essentially 90% of Christmas movies). Even Christine wasn't enough to save it because she didn't DO much.
December 3, 20204 yr Author Klaus is a fantastic new Netflix Christmas film that I'm certainly hoping will become a new Christmas classic as it has all the makings of it and beautiful animation, and a really creative take on the Santa Claus myth. Anyone else seen it? If not, watch it (or maybe next Christmas x) Otherwise, The Muppets Christmas Carol is the classic I go back to all the time. It's a Wonderful Life, Elf, Christmas Vacation, Gremlins and A Christmas Story are also all very enjoyable. Just watched Klaus lastnyt on Netflix and after a slow start it certainly is a decent show!
