Yes indeed, 'Poison' gives Nicole her third no. 1 in my chart following 'Don't Cha' and 'Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)'. However, I don't see 'Poison' having the same impact on my chart as 'Only Girl (In The World)' - it was really close between the two tracks for #1 and I almost decided to give Rihanna a sixth week. :o

This has grown on me again over the last week seeing the song rebound back up to a new peak of #5. For me, it's all about the middle 8 which consists of harmonised "aaahh aahhh ahhhhh". It does sound quite festive as well, some other posters had mentioned this but at first I didn't really think of the song as "festive". I guess it's all down to the arrangement.

I like this, it's like a techno waltz which sounds odd in writing. I think it's a good track and definitely worthy of going top 10 for me.

Well, it's a lot better than 'The Bicycle Song' which failed to make my top 40. I don't mind this but it hasn't had anywhere near the same impact on me as 'Bang Bang Bang' had.

I think Alesha's downfall happened when she became a judge on Strictly Come Dancing. It's surprising how after she won SCD, her career got a massive boost. Since becoming a judge, she's now having her least successful era but tracks like 'Drummer Boy' were never going to help.

I'm not too surprised that Pet Shop Boys failed to go top 40. They don't exactly appeal to teenagers who must surely have the biggest percentage in music bought in their respective age group with 18-25 coming in second. I think this is a great track and the fact it's bombed in the UK means absolutely nothing to me.

Well, it's been in my Pre-Release chart for a couple of weeks. This week seemed like the best week to promote the song purely because I don't like it any more than I did a fortnight ago. It has some good moments but some awkward moments too. I'm not surprised at all that 'The Beginning' has struggled to sell. I don't care what anybody says, this whole album reaks of "The E.N.D.' album track rejects that didn't make the original cut.

Indeed, 'Poison' is a great track. Surprised that it's already dropping down iTunes quite fast and there doesn't seem to be any more promotions to keep the track fresh in the public's minds. You only need to go 10 minutes without the UK general public hearing your song and they forget all about you. :drama:

'Poison' does sound like it's been inspired by the works of Lady GaGa which is no bad thing if you're trying to write a great pop song. This song was clearly influenced by 'Bad Romance'. It's certainly done the track as this is the first time a Nicole Scherzinger solo hit has made my top 40.
