XXIV, XXV and XXVI were all absolutely fantastic, it must be said.

I sent in my nominations earlier today (at around 1pm) I hope Tyron got them. :S

It's a bit awkward for me atm cause I can only use the college computer for things like this. (My own computer is being problamatic :drama:)

Quelle surprise :kink: More of a surprise, is that I think I did :/

Tut tut! Especially with being a Mod of the forum too! :o

Well, I sent my votes anyways ^_^

I'm here, I'm just being very lax with timings as we haven't had that many in :o

We have TBO every year, and if you remember to a few months back, continuous BJSC was RUINING THE FUCKING CONTEST

Fair enough. But it's not possible, and nor do we want to, have BJSC running all the time.

It's perfectly possible to do it constantly (NSC do fine) but whether people here want to do it all the time is another thing.

I'm not worried about having no BJSC though, I don't have as much time as I used to because of College....plus I like trying to do other things these days like drawing instead of constantly being online. So any downtime of contests (as long as it's not too long) is perfectly fine. I still think it's odd how The Best Of would be considered like a break from the norm since we're doing almost the same thing (Listening to Songs/Voting on Songs) as usual...bar the nominations part.

I don't really see how the Best Of is considered a real break though....we're still doing the same kind of thing. Listening to songs and voting on them. Same as always.

The main time consuming thing about the regular contests is digesting a ton of new music. There is no new music to digest in the Best Of as it's all been heard before (if you've participated in all of the contests anyway!). I didn't listen to any song at all whilst compiling my votes! Sure some have grown on me or gone off me over time and I've reflected that in my votes, but I wasn't about to sit and listen to 300-ish songs all over again :heehee: I do it from memory.

Obviously it's more of an ask for people that have missed contests though, hence why we get far less participants in this than the normal contests.

I forget a large chunk of songs though :(, I'd remember my top 5 or top 6 songs from each contest fairly well (depending on if I still listen to them now too) and then I might vaguely remember my 7 to 10 favourite songs in a contest. It all depends on how strong the contest was.

Usually I'll remember most songs when I hear them again....but I'd be a bit unsure of contests we had at the start of the year...

Also there's the trouble of actually sorting out my votes since the quality of songs is usually much much stronger.

I don't relisten to any of the songs either, even if i don't remember it. Because of the principle that a good song that i'd vote for would've stuck in my mind anyway.
