I remember 3 Words managed to chart top 40 the week the album was released, with almost no promotion at all (it had its radio 1 premiere, but that's all I can think of) (similar to What's My Name? did a few weeks ago). I thought The Flood would do the same, as it also had its radio premiere a couple of weeks before the album was released, so it was almost the same situation.

 

The was a difference though, in that I remember there being a glitch on iTunes or something, where you couldn't buy Cheryl's album for a day or two, you could only buy the track individually, so I remember she had like 5 album tracks in the top 40 on iTunes or something, so I guess that would've given 3 Words some initial momentum. And since people couldn't buy the album for a while, maybe they got confused and bought the song?

It was 3.6* Rihanna, now just 2.25*

And I'd say he's pretty much guaranteed #1 for 2 weeks at the very least, more likely 3 or maybe even 4. Remember that XF winner's singles have HUGE physicals.

 

Matt is lucky to win in the year Christmas moved to a Saturday, so there are separate chart weeks for 'run up to Christmas #1' and 'run up to Christmas', and then there's the post-Xmas iTunes gift card boost as well, which will give him 3 weeks of big sales. I can see WWC becoming the third million-selling XF winner's single.

I'm in Ireland and tonight on Glee, it's the Christmas episode - in this episode, the Glee club members Brittany still believes in Santa, much to the surprise of them. Anyway, Brittany awakens early in the morning to see 'Santa' in her living room(it's Coach Beeste) - so, what i'm asking is, Would it be suitable for my 10 year old brother and sister? I'm quite worried about his - Has anyone here seenit? If you could tell me, thanks x - BTW, I know this had nothing to do with The Charts, and yes, I should've put it on The Glee forum, but there's more people on this one - Thanks again

It's an amazing episode, with an absolutely tearjerking moment towards the end. I'll say no more though. Back to iTunes........

Does anybody think Loca has a chance of charting top 200 officially. It's almost top 100 on iTunes. :cry: How embarrassing. I bet people in all the other countries are ridiculing us now. We've got silence top 40, Surfin' Bird at #3, but Shakira isn't even in the top 100 yet. :( What a disaster.

Nice to see McFly rising again as they were at 20 earlier.

I've just heard the single version of JLS's next single (with Tinie's rap verse). It's soooo good, I'm actually shocked by how good it is! Why did they release Love You More when they had that track. It's like how One Shot from their last album was so much better than the other two singles.

 

However, it sounds, like, exactly the same as Heaven by DJ Sammy. Not that it's a bad thing, of course. :lol:
