To be fair, I really couldn't care how well Cheryl can sing. It's nice to be able to watch a good performance on youtube from time to time, and everything, but ultimately, it's down to the music. A large proportion of my favourite artists are rappers or producers, so they're much worse at singing than Cheryl. I don't care though, since their music is fantastic. That's what's most important to me.

 

Cheryl's only good singles are 3 Words and Promise This imo. And Heartbreaker too, if that counts. If Cheryl is the worst singer on the planet, I will still love 3 Words. If Cheryl is the best singer in history, I'm still not going to like Fight For This Love.

I disagree, I think she has the stage presence, but she admittedly doesn't have the voice - which is why she mimes all the time.

Just keep on telling yourself that. :P

Rihanna performed in the X factor too and she performed with Matt, so that's another reason why she's closing in imo.

I remember Not Afraid by Eminem did a similar thing. When the album got released, the single version dropped down the chart quickly, whilst the album version climbed, and got to #11 (I think)! :o

 

I think that happens a lot when your album is getting a lot of views on iTunes, so lots of people buy it from the album, while they're there. Also, if there's an album track that's really popular, if you buy the album track, you get linked to the rest of the album, so people might just by the other song from the album, rather than getting the single. Album versions of Love the Way You Lie and What's My Name? were both #2 on iTunes, so I guess that could be a plausible theory?

Wow Ri really is closing in on Matt and also pulling away from Surfin Bird massively. Think it's a given now the chart come Sunday will be 1. Matt 2. Rihanna and Drake 3. Trashmen.

 

I know that they've downloaded a lot in other places but I wouldn't have thought it would be enough to make up for their massive shortfall on itunes. We shall see.

I don't think that's possible. Maybe in digital sales, but in overall sales, he'll probably still sell like 200,000 next week.

 

If Rihanna climbs quick enough though, he might get 0 weeks at #1 on the Big Top 40 Show! :o

 

Also, Let It Snow, I remember when Everybody Hurts sold 400,000 in one week, some people called it a flop. :o Matt should definitely sell better than that, but still, I do wonder what sales a song needs to please people! :o
