He has a wonderful way of producing new tracks that don't differ from his usual material in many ways but yet somehow do not sound stale and a retread. He's comfortably one of my favourite artists of the 00s. 02 (01) Ellie Goulding ~ Your Song ~ 4 [10-7-1-2] - Nice enough cover, certainly better than the things that have been keeping her from #1 recently. 06 (03) Tove Styrke ~ White Light Moment ~ 6 [10-6-2-6-3-6] - Thanks to Gooddelta, I really like this. I found it a little too disjointed at first but it's continued to grow until it made my top 10 this week. 09 (11) Nicole Scherzinger ~ Poison ~ 2 [11-9] - Surprisingly, I quite like this. 10 (07) Iamamiwhoami ~ Y/N ~ 3 [8-7-10] - Ryan/Notso/Triangles put me back on to this again, these are the two tracks that appeal to me the most so far. 14 (15) Spark ~ Revolving ~ 4 [39-26-15-14] - Okay but not as fond of it as I was her last single. 17 (12) Rihanna ~ Only Girl (In The World) ~ 7 [60-14-4-5-11-12-17] - Infectious, seems to be loved by virtually everyone. 18 (**) The Naked And Famous ~ Punching In A Dream ~ 1 [18] - Recently got the album and it's surprisingly solid. 19 (14) The Human League ~ Night People ~ 3 [21-14-19] - I'm slightly disappointed by this but I suppose it was always unlikely that they would match their very best work. 22 (19) Pet Shop Boys ~ Together ~ 7 [32-34-34-35-33-19-22] - Again, a bit disappointing for me but nice enough. 28 (26) Clare Maguire ~ Ain't Nobody (Breakage Remix) ~ 8 [3-3-6-10-12-18-26-28] - Nice track, promising for the future. 31 (22) Hurts ~ Stay ~ 4 [40-30-22-31] - Love the band, the track is not one of the highlights for me though. 33 (37) Duck Sauce ~ Barbra Streisand ~ 3 [44-37-33] - Guilty pleasure. 38 (23) Take That ~ The Flood ~ 5 [25-11-14-23-38] - This has really grown on me, it's up there with Rule The World as being towards their best. 40 (31) Marina & The Diamonds ~ Shampain ~ 9 [36-20-13-18-18-20-25-31-40] - Love Marina, obviously. 45 (**) School Of Seven Bells ~ I L U ~ 1 [45] - Nice to see someone else charting them! Did you like Heart Is Strange? I found it a little too disjointed at first but it's continued to grow until it made my top 10 this week. 09 (11) Nicole Scherzinger ~ Poison ~ 2 [11-9] - Surprisingly, I quite like this. 10 (07) Iamamiwhoami ~ Y/N ~ 3 [8-7-10] - Ryan/Notso/Triangles put me back on to this again, these are the two tracks that appeal to me the most so far. 14 (15) Spark ~ Revolving ~ 4 [39-26-15-14] - Okay but not as fond of it as I was her last single. 17 (12) Rihanna ~ Only Girl (In The World) ~ 7 [60-14-4-5-11-12-17] - Infectious, seems to be loved by virtually everyone. 18 (**) The Naked And Famous ~ Punching In A Dream ~ 1 [18] - Recently got the album and it's surprisingly solid. 19 (14) The Human League ~ Night People ~ 3 [21-14-19] - I'm slightly disappointed by this but I suppose it was always unlikely that they would match their very best work. 22 (19) Pet Shop Boys ~ Together ~ 7 [32-34-34-35-33-19-22] - Again, a bit disappointing for me but nice enough. 28 (26) Clare Maguire ~ Ain't Nobody (Breakage Remix) ~ 8 [3-3-6-10-12-18-26-28] - Nice track, promising for the future. 31 (22) Hurts ~ Stay ~ 4 [40-30-22-31] - Love the band, the track is not one of the highlights for me though. 33 (37) Duck Sauce ~ Barbra Streisand ~ 3 [44-37-33] - Guilty pleasure. 38 (23) Take That ~ The Flood ~ 5 [25-11-14-23-38] - This has really grown on me, it's up there with Rule The World as being towards their best. 40 (31) Marina & The Diamonds ~ Shampain ~ 9 [36-20-13-18-18-20-25-31-40] - Love Marina, obviously. 45 (**) School Of Seven Bells ~ I L U ~ 1 [45] - Nice to see someone else charting them! Did you like Heart Is Strange? That made #1 for me and is one of my most listened to songs of the year. 49 (**) Robyn ~ Indestructible ~ 1 [49] - Surprise, I love it! 55 (39) Museum Of Bellas Artes ~ Watch The Glow ~ 8 [47-31-27-17-15-16-39-55] - Quite like this, again an act that Notso introduced me to. 60 (40) Wolf Gang ~ The King And All Of His Men ~ 5 [5-7-22-40-60] - Like a poor man's Killers for me but it's decent enough that they should have some success. Good chart on the whole. As usual there are a fair few I don't know but I still admire the diversity in your taste. :D Thanks Dandy :D 01 - I completely agree with what you said, it definitely keeps the feel of his previous material, but shows progression at the same time. I really hope he gets the recognition he deserves next year! 02 - Agreed. Such a shame that X Factor charity single kept her from number one - people are going to remember Your Song far longer than that monstrosity! 06 - Yep credit to Rich on finding and alerting us all about her! Have you heard the album? It's really great :wub: 09 - I wasn't keen at first, but I really like it now! 10 - For me, Iamamiwhoami has been one of the major highlights of 2010, I have loved following it and the concert was absolutely unbelieveable! I like all the songs, but O, N, T & Y are my favourites :wub: . Would love for them to release a CD/DVD package containing everything! 14 - I hadn't heard of her prior to this song, but Revolving has the same melody as a Bucks Fizz track so she should be careful :lol: 17 - I'm starting to get over it now, but itis a vast improvement on the last album's material. 18 - Is it? I have liked this song and the previous single so I might have to get the album if it's as good. 19 - I kind of agree, it was always going to be hard to top the material from their first few albums. I'm hopeful the new album will have better tracks. 22 - Agreed, it took me a while to get into this one. The tracklisting for Ultimate was also very disappointing I thought. 31 - Completely agree, the two singles so far and Evelyn and Illuminated are my faves from the album. The Christmas song is also divine. 33 - And me :lol: . I go a little wild when this comes on in a club :kink: 38 - Same for me, I wasn't expecting much from them with Robbie returning as I'm not a big fan of his, but this song came as a pleasant surprise! 40 - One of the best albums of 2010 by far! 45 - Yes, but I don't think it charted high with me - It's a song I started to like more after it left my chart - I'm contemplating getting their albums but am afraid they might be a little bland... 49 - I've not been a fan of her Body Talk era really, but this is the best song she's released this year definitely. 55 - Same, only heard of them through Unknown Pleasures. Heard this song playing in Topshop the other day which was pleasing! 60 - I instantly liked the song but have become bored of it just as quickly sadly.
