Haha. He doesn't  (Don't do it Rich haha) It's actually a pretty crap album, imo. They've been very clever with the singles so far as these are the three tracks I like from the album. Nothing else is clicking with me, unfortunately. I say this as a casual McFly fan too! (Their first album was amazing (particularly 'Not Alone')! Second was very good and the 3rd had it's moments) but this is failing to have any kind of impact on me :(

I won't even entertain the idea of buying it until it's down to £3 at highest  There've been too many occasions in the past where I've bought a $hite album on the strength of an artist releasing the only 3 good songs on it as singles.
You want to Buy their Latest Album 'Above the Noise ' Then as every song is quite strong on there

and every song is kinda different from eachother

It's only £4.99 on I Tunes and £5.99 in MHV right now

Do you secretly work for McFly's sales team?

Thats the truth isn't even one of the strongest Tracks on the album.

I'll be your Man,End of the world,No where left to run are much, much stronger

Do they have strings in them? I probably only like That's The Truth so much because of the string intro.

Not sure. I Think i'll be your man has and foolish.

Take Me There has a bagpipe sound if that helps

The 3 songs i posted are also the 3 that have been the most downloaded on I tunes.

As i said yesterday all 11 songs are very different from eachother and there's not really a typical sound.

All you have todo is hear clips on I Tunes or Youtube (The Proper versions are not on there)

You missed an album
Well I didn't bother with 'Radio:Active' Maybe I should though. Or maybe not as 'One For The Radio', 'Lies' and 'Do Ya' are all boring now. (Although 'Lies' isn't too bad) So that didn't register with me whilst I was writing the post

I only own Radio: Active, and that's only because it was free with a Sunday paper  It wasn't too bad actually, and I liked One For The Radio!

As a fan I dislike I'll Be Your Man, actually. Not a fan at all. I think its probably the most boring track they've recorded. Although, having said that I love the accoustic. Odd, I know.

End of the World is good, but it samples from War of the Worlds so its not their most original track.

Nowhere Left to Run is very strong.

But yeah, its definitely a mixed bag and no doubt an experiment. The next album will be interesting.

I think One for the Radio and Do Ya are two of the worst tracks on Radio:Active. I remember the fans being upset when they chose to release Do Ya so I'm not suprised it bombed.

Tracks like 'POV' and 'The End' are great. 'Falling in Love' is nice too. Some of the other tracks suffer from the choice of production style though, I think. In the same way that some on Above the Noise do, I reckon.

I like One For the radio but agree with DO ya.

POV and The last song should have got a release.

Mcfly are fliming the video to 'Thats The Truth' on friday and like 'Shine a Light' they will be streaming it LIVE on their supercity website www.mcfly.com for anyone thats signed up to that

Video was filmed yesterday and Streamed LIve all day apart from a Stunt that Invlolves Dougie which they couldn't show

I think their first LIVE Performance Ever is Comedy Rocks which will be shown on ITV1 In the next few weeks

I can't see anything saving this album. It's flopped shockingly bad.

Giving it away to everyone that has signed up to their 'Super City' Website was allways going to be bad

10 million people across the world logged into that site in the first day causing it to crash and taken off line for a number of weeks.

Everyone had the album free and the actual CD release had nothing different to make anyone other then 'massive fans' want to buy it

Mcfly have said they are happy with the album because giving it away free on their website works in their favor because everyone pays £40.00 a year for the site so everything is released via that first.

The Lack of Promotion hasn't helped it at all but i think this single, the next single and Arena Tour could help push it more.

Actually, I hate to talk bad about them because I am a fan - but there are only 16 000 paid subscription fans signed up to the website and that includes fans worldwide. Therefore its not made a huge difference to album sales here bearing in mind they're the most extreme fans and so most will probably have bought the album too.

So, if this album doesn't pick up they've just got to make sure they pick the right tracks and keep the longevity that Shine a Light has started + keep the website going and keep selling tour tickets. If they can't do those things, then thats when they will get into trouble.

If the album doesn't pick up after this release or the next but the singles do well I can see them releasing an extra track than usual (making it up to 5 singles) to make sure as much of the music gets out there and heard as possible.

I honestly can't see the rumoured rerelease of the album doing too well.

Adding to what I just wrote, this album is very much the experimental transition album - and that goes for the fans too. They've lost fans and they've gained some. Depending on the music industry in 2011 onwards (if it still favours the style they have gone for with tracks like Shine a Light) I should think they've still got a mountain to climb to gain as many fans as possible with this album as I honestly think they have a better chance than ever to hit the top, and to see what the most successful and liked songs are on the album, so that the next album will hopefully be more consistant and more successful.

I really have my fingers crossed for That's the Truth. I hope it does well - but its not the most commercially friendly track on the album. I'd say its more a track the old fans can cling to while the new ones can see hints of progress inside - but not neccesarily enough.

Dougie seems to be the lead in the That's the Truth video - makes me wonder if that's because of his split from Frankie!

Tom has Sorry's not good enough

Danny That Girl

Harry Party girl

Dougie Star girl

They seem to take it in turns it seems

No word on when the video will be shown yet
