Posted December 16, 201014 yr http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s103/the-x-...for-cowell.html Apparently Cowell wants to delay the series but due to ITV raking in £150m for the current series it wants to start at the normal time. So this means Cowell will once again challenge the Xmas Number 1
December 16, 201014 yr And it means Cheryl and Simon will be flying back and forth everyweek. The US edition will be airing midweek, where the UK one will remain at the weekends.
December 16, 201014 yr Double Xfactor to watch then :D I'm sure ITV2 will get the rights to X Factor US
December 16, 201014 yr Double Xfactor to watch then :D I'm sure ITV2 will get the rights to X Factor US They have AFAIK Surely Cheryl & Simon won't have time to mentor two sets of acts  As if Cheryl does anything anyway. Neither of them are Dannii
December 16, 201014 yr There is a rumour going round James Bloody Corden maybe hosting the British X Factor next year, Simon seems to be poaching a lot of crew, production team, to produce his American version. With a possibililty Dermot hosting. There will be 2 new judges for the British version next year, there has been some names in the hat, but they are just rumours.
December 16, 201014 yr Or Louis. and that's a good thing too. We don't need that useless c**t on TV week in week out, why would we want another. The man is repulsive.
December 17, 201014 yr As if Cheryl does anything anyway. Neither of them are Dannii This kind of comments upsets me. :/ I watched the whole show this year and Cheryl (and Simon) don't seem to be less involved in mentoring their acts than Dannii is. Only because Dannii has no other big project at the mo doesn't mean she spends 24 hour a day with her contestants. She has a life (and a very young baby who would require a lot of time too).
December 17, 201014 yr I think it says alot about Bertie that a statement like that can actually upset him. BIZZARE. Watch the back of your head Silas, Bert might come at it with a big knife.

This kind of comment was not really necessary, but fair enough ... I won't follow you into this though, sorry. :) I was just pointing out that Cheryl has been a good mentor from what we can see on TV. Of course we can't say for sure what happens behind the camera, but she seems to do a good job and her acts have always praised her for that, even after the show, and surely they're the best people to judge, nope? I wasn't being rude to Silas or anything, and I don't even think he took it wrong (it's a discussion forum so there are bound to be different opinions), so it would be nice if you could play it nice too JamesP. ^_^ Edited December 17, 201014 yr by Bert for Lashes
December 17, 201014 yr I think everyone behind the scenes (including even Louis) has commented that out of all the judges, Dannii has always been the one that puts in the most work and spends the most time with their acts :)

You're talking bollocks. :| When it comes to the actual SHOW, and as far as judging is concerned, the ONLY judge that gives out constructive criticism is Dannii Minouge.

She has a life (and a very young baby who would require a lot of time too). I only said that based on what has come out from the show. Dannii has a reputation for being the 'best' mentor. It has been said she spends far more time with her acts than anyone else throughout her time on the show. And as Josh pointed out, she is the only judge that consistently gives constructive feedback. I do think Cheryl is a good judge, even if i have questions as to why she made the panel in the first place, she does seem to pick the song choices very well for her acts.
December 17, 201014 yr Let's be honest, she's only there because she's a pretty face. fact. There are lots of "pretty faces" in Britain though ... I thought it was down to her talent show roots (Popstars the rivals) and for being successfuly part of the music industry for 8 eight years now. That and being extremely popular of course.

But mentoring and judging are two different things ... We were talking about mentoring if you read back properly ... And as far as picking the best songs is concerned, Cheryl proved to make the best choices this year. :) Edited December 17, 201014 yr by Bert for Lashes

That and being extremely popular of course.I agree that she has talent show roots which was a helpful advantage. I wouldn't however call her successful, they are been many more successful artists in the past decade. Plus her popularity surged after X Factor, she wasn't that popular before it though. She's made far more covers and column inches since.
December 17, 201014 yr But mentoring and judging are two different things ... We were talking about mentoring if you read back properly ... And as far as picking the best songs is concerned, Cheryl proved to make the best choices this year. :) As far as mentoring is concerned then, she has admitted herself to receiving a lot of help from Simon Cowell & X-Factor producers. There's no way in hell she does it all herself. (Mentoring isn't the full role required for working on the show, as mentioned, the other half is judging, which she is crap at!).

And I think she does a great job of it  You see, it's more an opinion than a fact. But I totally respect your opinion, you're not the only person to think she's crap and I should deal with it :friends:
