Is this confirmed as after safe not performing great i didnt think they would risk a 2nd single as it could miss top 10 for them.

They never actually get round to releasing the rumoured second single though, it happens every era - there are rumblings of a follow up to their token November hit, and it never happens. I don't see why to be honest...why are they still trying to hold onto their top ten record? Every huge act has suffered flops in the download era by now. And surely a second single/promo/TV appearances etc...would boost album sales. They seem to sell 98% of their albums each era in December, then disappear from the public eye for another 10 months, save for their tours.

That said, this is the best song I've heard from them in a long time.

If they release this...it deffo will be a top 10..its so catchy!! They need to take a few risks these .days
I thought I Will Reach You was to be the follow up to Safe?
Yes i agree they need to take risks and forget about the constant top 10 hits, singles even if they flop can sell albums and westlifes album sales have dropped so another single would boost a few sales.

Hmm cannot believe I'm saying this but this is two songs in a row from Westlife that are quite good in ages. Last one was Us against the world. Maybe cause it's original and not a petty ballad

It's not been confirmed yet, but according to Mark just a few days ago there deffinely will be another single. It was quite interesting when they were on the lotto Kian said something along the lines of they would love to release four singles from this album but realistically it's down to the record label and therefore two is probably the most they'll have.

I'd love it to either be this, I Will Reach You or No One's Gonna Sleep Tonight.

In my opinion the singles from this era should have been:

1. Beautful Tonight

2. I Will Reach You

3. I Get Weak

4. Closer

Mark wrote 'I Will Reach You' & 'Before It's Too Late' and all four of them wrote 'Too Hard To Say Goodbye' & 'Closer'.

Actually looking at that they wrote some of the better material on the album. But if it is 'Beautiful Tonight' like John Shanks has hinted then no Mark wasn't involved in that one.

It must be horrible for Westlife. They really are nothing but product. They bring an album out every November and are done with it by December. It seems a waste of their time to write any of the album to mean something personal, because a month later it's finished.

Well, it's 2011 and they know boybands and girlbands will be on its fullest again. Even Simon creating a TOTP-esque show. Now is the time for Westlife to release great singles.

Anyway, it's officially confirmed that Beautiful Tonight is the next single

Where have you seen the confirmation? Anyway I think Beautiful Tonight will surely miss the top 10, maybe even top 20, but anyway it's not a bad song. But looking back they had much better upbeat songs they never released, like Turnaround, She's Back, Hit You With The Real Thing, when you're looking like that!

They confirmed it through The Daily Star.

YOU can imagine our next single Beautiful Tonight being played in a club.

Yes, it’s that different to what we usually release. John Shanks wrote it and it’s up-tempo and will open a few eyes and ears. People who don’t usually like Westlife might like it and hopefully people who do like us won’t not like it.

It’s young, fresh and exciting so we feel brilliant about it coming out. When they first hear it, some people might go: “Whoa, who is that?” and that’s why we wanted it as our first song on the album.

It’d be cool to get a couple of good dance remixes off it but we won’t be coming up with a dance routine for it on tour, except for maybe a few clicks and putting one foot in front of the other. The song reminds us of the early days when we put out World Of Our Own.

A video that came with it... http://dailystar.co.uk/playlist/view/17013...day-s-Playlist/

very interesting what they say about their singles and next year. Their contract runs out and I'm glad to hear that they aren't happy with the way SyCo are handeling them. With Kian working with Mercury through managing Wonderland I hope maybe they get an offer from Universal.

It's good to hear that the know it's not working ansd that it need to change soon and its sounds like they are making their point to their label. Obviously Simon will wanna keep them on so who knows whats next

I have high hopes with the upcoming single! I noticed also that they are starting to promote again not just for the fans but now for public. One example was they're linking their names to Cheryl Cole, Rihanna, Matt Cardle nowadays.

I think this will chart higher than Safe even if its a second single, a top 5 or 3 perhaps. It will be a reverse now since Wonderland may help them on the eyes of public again.

i like that video, it shows that they are sick of syco trying to run them into the ground. Like they are the biggest selling

act on that label, but they will not let them develop more fans by having more singles!!

This album is awesome!

I hope it does do better than 'Safe' it is a much much better song. But it's going to depend on if radio will play them. *cross fingers* they do.

Although I wish the lads had got there way and this would have been the lead single, it's going to be harder to win people back than it would have been to just come out with this. I'll be happy if it goes top 10!
