I was joking :P I started doing it before you posted yours and never realised.

WOW. That was MUCH better than the previous weeks! The ending wasn't rushed, the characters had time to develop and the plot didn't feel either rushed or too slow. I liked the Metebelis Three reference too and the fact that the Doctor is actually still trying to find out who Clara actually is rather than leaving it all to the finale. My only concern is that I'm worried about is that because we don't know who Clara is, it's hindering her character development. At the moment, she feels too much like a stereotypical companion who I can't establish an opinion on whether I like her or not. Hopefully that will change because I liked Clara/Oswin in 'Asylum of the Daleks' and 'The Snowmen'!

In regards to the ratings, the ratings have dropped for the scarier/creepier episodes before in relation to the previous episodes. (See The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit, Blink, Silence in the Library, Day of the Moon, The God Complex and you could include Night Terrors) so I'm not too surprised. There's also the factors that it was on 45 minutes later than last week, the warm weather, the BGT opposition on ITV and some people's disappointment with the previous three episodes. I've learnt not to worry anymore as there's little chance that they'll cancel it anytime soon as it's one of the most requested shows on iPlayer, it sells well to other countries and it brings A LOT of money from merchandise.

1. Asylum Of The Daleks

2. Hide

3. The Angels Take Manhattan

4. The Power Of Three

5. A Town Called Mercy

6. Cold War

7. The Snowmen

8. Dinosaurs On A Spaceship

9. The Bells of Saint John

10. The Rings of Akhaten

LOVED that. Really felt like the show I want to watch Doctor Who for, great guest cast, an intriguing mystery and a well-paced plot. All the psychic stuff was actually fairly well-done, I thought it might have been a little hackneyed at the start but the psychic girl was a very well-rounded character in the end.

Third-best of the series so far I think, after Mercy and The Snowmen. 7B may be saved yet.

I loved it too. It struck a good balance between the scary and the funny (loved the little companion/assistant reference thing) and the story itself was actually very compelling. Felt the last 2/3 minutes were a tad pointless, but overall by far the best episode of the new 4.

I think you're all praising the episode because it felt great after the previous disappointments but overall it wasn't that good, was it?

Surely the pace was perfect and the plot was interesting but I think they focused too much on the empath than the actual woman that they saved, even though in the end they explained their relation.

Cold War - 7.37 million. 5th most watched for the week :)

I do agree. I think the girl was nothing but a plot device, to be honest. The story could have coped well enough without her, and it makes the whole "Witch of the Well" mystery seem irrelevant.

I really liked this episode. It was exactly the sort of thing I have been waiting for, albeit nowhere near as scary as promised (I thought for a brief moment that it might be classic Who, but alas.)

It was well-paced, the storyline was rather complex in comparison to the three so far and quite frankly Dr Who is at it's best when Matt Smith is running around explaining ridiculous things rather than watching little girls sing or discussing Ultravox in a submarine.

This looks like it's gonna be my favourite episode of the season so far!

@bbcdoctorwho A pair of feet.

That's definitely the Tenth Doctor on the right - who's on the left though?

Edited by THEO.

Ooh, mysterious.

I'd probably say it's between Matt, John Barrowman and Paul McGann.

Please GOD not Barrowman.

I agree, but I think there's something up with Barrowman's statements recently saying he's DEVASTATED not to be asked back for the 50th, etc.

I bet he feels privileged meeting David Tennant!!! The best Doctor!!!

Quotes from Steven Moffat in next month's DWM:

“There’s often an element of throwing in some lovely names, and then figuring it out later, but I’ve always had a sort of plan for the Doctor and Trenzalore.”

“Things will be resolved. Things I’ve left hanging in plain sight – and sometimes not in plain sight – will be tied up…”

“I feel as though we’re going to deliver. We’ve only just finished shooting the actual completed ending – it’s ridiculously secret – but it’s quite a thing, hopefully.”

I agree, but I think there's something up with Barrowman's statements recently saying he's DEVASTATED not to be asked back for the 50th, etc.

Barrowman should try to get a new Torchwood series rather than a guest spot on the Special.
