April 18, 201312 yr This episode NEEDS to be a good one as I've heard A LOT of people ie casual fans who aren't impressed with the last three episodes. Have you seen both of the preview clips? As well as looking like a v good episode, it also looks quite frightening. :o
April 18, 201312 yr Have you seen both of the preview clips? As well as looking like a v good episode, it also looks quite frightening. :o Yeah I have and it does look like it's going to be very good. Out of the first four episodes, this was the one I was looking forward to the most as it looked spooky so I do think that the standard is going to be high from here and it looks like it will stay that way with following episodes as we'll get to see the TARDIS, the return of Vastra and co as well as the Neil Gaiman episode and the finale.

Neil Gaiman's episode is gonna be frightening. The setting just matches the creepiness of the Cybermen so much! Also, a spoiler about Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS: Christopher Eccleston makes a voice cameo in the episode.

April 19, 201312 yr Author The final episode is set on Trenzalore (as mentioned by Dorium in The Wedding of River Song), where the question is asked :o
April 19, 201312 yr The final episode is set on Trenzalore (as mentioned by Dorium in The Wedding of River Song), where the question is asked :o And answered. But it's 90% likely we won't find out, and the Doctor will only reveal it to, say, River for example. (tying up how she knows his name in Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead).
April 19, 201312 yr Author Well to be honest, there's no real point in us knowing his real name. The reveal about humans getting the word 'doctor' to mean 'healer' in the series six mid-season finale was a good enough explanation to the audience :P
April 19, 201312 yr I don't WANT to know the Doctor's real name and I very much doubt we'll find out. The question probably WILL be answered, but probably to River privately which brings about all kinds of doom without the audience ever getting to know what was said.
April 19, 201312 yr As I said, it's likely the title is just a thrower, like 'The Doctor's Wife', 'The Doctor's Daughter', etc - we won't find out his name, but a character definitely will. Has to be River Song though, given the episode's written by Moffat, and that it relates back to the Library. I can imagine the episode ending with him just about to reveal it, and then the Anniversary starting a fresh story, with that character knowing his name, but us left without that knowledge.
April 20, 201312 yr I didnt particularly enjoy last weeks episode. Watching tonight's episode, tomorrow :) . I miss Doctor - Donna :D
April 20, 201312 yr That was absolutely fantastic! Really loved the twist, and the whole episode was just a massive improvement on last week! 10/10 from me. 1. The Snowmen 2. Hide 3. The Power of Three 4. The Angels Take Manhattan 5. The Bells of Saint John 6. The Rings of Akhaten 7. Cold War 8. A Town Called Mercy 9. Asylum of the Daleks 10. Dinosaurs on a Spaceship
April 20, 201312 yr That's probably my favourite episode from this series, it had some classic Who to it from the Tom Baker era with the Ghosts of Wang Chung. 9/10
April 21, 201312 yr Author THAT was more like it! The plot went along at a steady pace and the resolution was clever. I loved the guest cast too - their chemistry was great. I liked the minor Clara plot points too - I'm interested as to how she knew to control the TARDIS especially! More like this for the rest of series 7 please :D

I liked the minor Clara plot points too - I'm interested as to how she knew to control the TARDIS especially! More like this for the rest of series 7 please :D Remember in Let's Kill Hitler when the TARDIS itself taught River how to fly it? I imagine that's the case here, and the TARDIS knew because the cloister bell was tolling to teach Clara how to fly it. Or, it could be a case of Clara just going along for the ride - because at the end of The Doctor's Wife, the TARDIS pushed a lever itself in response to the Doctor, so who knows what the TARDIS is now capable of doing - controlling itself? Clara could just have been clinging onto the console when we saw her.
April 21, 201312 yr Brilliant episode and next week is looking great too. The episode felt very Doctor Whoey. Finally things are starting to look up. :D 1. The Angels Take Manhattan 2. Hide 3. The Snowmen 4. Asylum Of The Daleks 5. A Town Called Mercy 6. The Rings of Akhaten 7. Cold War 8. The Bells of Saint John 9. The Power Of Three 10. Dinosaurs On A Spaceship Also....was the Tardis implying that Clara was a narcissist? I could believe that actually.... Edited April 21, 201312 yr by Sabrewulf
