Posted December 26, 201014 yr His fifth #1 single... ARIA Top 50 Singles Chart http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_52G0U01ywrw/TNVJitQJicI/AAAAAAAADyY/bsa_9mX8ZbM/s1600/Guy%20Sebastian.jpg http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/2097/aria1.jpghttp://img139.imageshack.us/img139/6215/aria2r.jpg Little Background + Thoughts; #In case if anyone of you do not know, Sony actually pushed Guy to get his fifth number one single, buy having a campaigner titled "Guy for #1 Xmas" or something around those lines, if you ask me it was pathetic though it got the job done, the last number one of the year 2010. #Jessica Mauboy's single Saturday Night has reached number seven this week, it is her fourth song to be in the top 10, being followed by [Running Back #3], [burn #1], [because #9.] #Not an awful lot of excitement on the chart this week unfortunately, whilst there are massive sales, the chart is highly static during late December. We see some predicted bullets from DG & Rihanna and Wynter Gordon. Both of which should continue to move up next week, I think 'Who's That Chick?' may hit #1 when the official video premieres. Susan Boyle is up 1 to #2, trading places with Bon Jovi. Guy Sebastian’s Greatest Hits matches the peak of Like It Like That as he moves up to #6. Katy Perry & James Blunt re enter the Top 10. They are both up 3 to #8 and #10 respectively. Bruno Mars did choose the right time to bullet. He’s up to #13 on the back of Grenade. Michael Jackson is down 7 to #17. Josh Groban climbs from #46 to #21 as people buy it for Christmas. The Tron movie opened last week and its parent soundtrack is up 4 to #29. Not a whole lot to mention until we get to the bottom of the chart with a line-up of re-entries, on courtesy of Enrique Iglesias, Straalen McCallum, Bruce Springsteen, Nelly & The Eagles (probably owing to their tour for the latter). Next week, expect heaps of bullet performers and big drops as it’ll be the post Christmas week. Some acts like Rihanna, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars should climb significantly. SuBo, Ronan Keating, Josh Groban, Human Nature, Mark Vincent will probably plummet though. P!nk will probably spend another week at the top.
December 27, 201014 yr Author Guys this week Aria are not sending out the sales since two days, Monday & Tuesday are public holidays over here in Australia, though it has been confirmed that Bruno and Guy sold well over the 25K mark.
December 28, 201014 yr Yayyyyy for Jessica being top 10  Really hope SN is her biggest hit, love it so much  Glad for Guy getting no. 1 too, WTG is pretty catchy! Amazing to see Wynter top 20, hope she's big in the UK too!!!
December 28, 201014 yr Author Has Taio Cruz' album sold much in Australia?? (or anywhere?) To be honest I am not sure, in Australia it has peaked at #14. Though I think I remember it being gold, though these days on the aria charts an album can be gold can sell nowhere near 35,000 copies.
