December 28, 201014 yr My predictions for 2011: Top 5 Comebacks 01. Lady GaGa 02. Coldplay 03. Adele 04. Beyonce 05. Britney Spears **Florence & The Machine assuming there will be album #2 in 2011, I'd rank above Beyonce in terms of success levels. 2011 looks set to be a huge year for Jessie J. I'm still not 100% sold (then again this time last year I wasn't 100% sold on Ellie Goulding and even now don't think she's had the success expected considering her initial hype). Jessie J already winner of the Brit Awards New Artist award, buzz single 'Do It Like A Dude' doing well at the moment. Next single will probably get a big promotional push in Feb/Mar time and be UK #1. Debut album to enter at #1 but drop down afterwards and struggle to recover when buzz wears off. Top 5 Newcomers 01. Jessie J (hmm!!!) 02. Two Door Cinema Club 03. Clare Maguire 04. Nero 05. Fenech-Soler
December 29, 201014 yr Ooh, lets review my predictions; Elin Lanto - had a #1 album in my chart and a top 3 hit with Funeral Alcazar - had a #4 single with Headlines but nothing else Owl City - briefly returned to the top ten with Fireflies... Maria Haukaas Storeng - Disappointed me but still managed a top five album and two top twenty singles... A1 - Scored a #1 single and album in 2010! Mira Craig - Had a couple of minor hits for me but nothing huge... HURTS - #1 album and quite a few hits in my singles chart too! Marina and the Diamonds - #1 album and a huge #3 hit with Hollywood Ellie Goulding - #1 album, 3 top ten singles! They were some rather great predictions, I forsaw five number one albums there! As for 2011 in my chart, I'll go with the following: Le Kid Jessie J Lena Meyer-Landrut Delta Goodrem Lady GaGa Love Generation Sanna Nielsen Clare Maguire Charlotte Church Bolded have had #1 hits in my chart before, but I'm expecting them to release something of note next year
December 29, 201014 yr Lady GaGa - 'Telephone' went to #1 in my chart, and 'Alejandro' returned to #1. The Hoosiers - 'Choices' debuted at #1 before falling out within a couple of weeks. Rubbish prediction really Gabriella Cilmi - 'On A Mission' is one of my favourite songs of 2010, but I had kind of cheated as I made my predictions after it had already gone to #1 in my chart. Sophie-Ellis Bextor - 'Bittersweet' did ok-ish. But she hasn't really done much else - no new album. Diana Vickers - 'Once' is in my top 10 of 2010, but I've not even listened to her album in full. Ellie Goulding - 'Starry Eyed' did pretty well, 'The Writer' went to #2, 'Your Song' to #3 and 'Lights' in one of my favourite albums of the year. I'll say that this was my best prediction. As for 2011: Lena Paramore Lady GaGa Jessie J Rachel Adedeji Glee Cast Britney Spears Avril Lavigne Bit un-inspired, since the first five have all already had at least one #1 in my chart. Lena returning to Eurovision, Paramore will hopefully release an album despite two members quitting (they released albums in '05, '07 & '09), GaGa giving us her 'album of the decade', Rachel Adedeji will hopefully get to release an album if she doesn't flop before then, more episodes of Glee, and comebacks from Britney & Avril which I am very much looking forward to.
December 29, 201014 yr Daisy Dares You - 'Number On Enemy' went top 5, 'Rosie' was a small brief top 40 hit. Jessie Malakouti - 'Standing Up For The Lonely' went top 10, but nothing else. Nadine Coyle - 'Insatiable' spent 3 weeks at #2 and the album spent 3 weeks at #1. 2011 Tips Spark Clare Maguire Jessie J Natalia Kills Florrie Sunday Girl James Blake Sky Ferreira +the inevitable GaGa/Beyonce/Britney/Kelly etc
December 29, 201014 yr Author Bit un-inspired, since the first five have all already had at least one #1 in my chart.Same as me to be honest. Any other new artists I like are welcome surprises. :P
January 2, 201114 yr Selena Gomez & The Scene (was that really all I predicted for myself? Haha!) She did VERY well! 4 Top 30 hits in my chart (1 went top 10. 2 went Top 20), with an album which peaked at number 4 (And spawned her only top 10 hit in 'Live Like There's No Tomorrow' in my chart) and spent a very respectable 6 weeks in my album chart top 10. NOT BAD! Predictions for artists who will be huge in my chart this year: Newcomers/Continued Successes: Cher Lloyd (DUH. The person I'm most interested in!) Glee Cast Jessie J Keri Hilson (UK Album release will no doubt help her out in my chart!) Natalia Kills Rihanna (Providing she gets the single releases right! NO 'S&M' PLEASE :() Comebacks: Avril Lavigne Blink-182 (UK Tour - which i'm attending in July - will help them out for sure!) Britney Spears (It's Britney) Kelly Clarkson (It's Kelly) The King Blues Lady GaGa Disappointments/Over hyped by people on BJ: Beyoyo Cascada ( :snif: ) Cheryl Cole
January 3, 201114 yr My Predictions for 2011: - Lady GaGa - Britney Spears - Jessica Mauboy - Keri Hilson - Rihanna - Sabrina Washington - New Boyz - Flo Rida - Shontelle - Kelly Clarkson Edited January 3, 201114 yr by hado

January 5, 201114 yr I fully expect Beyoncé, Britney and Leona to get at least one #1 following their comebacks. If Kimberley Walsh releases music as is rumoured then she'll probably get a #1 too. Alexis Jordan's album should be quite big, as should future singles. Yasmin might be a success, 'On My Own' is alright, so I'll wait for following singles/the album. Rachel Adedeji might be big, I'm sure not; 'Follow The DJ' is alright but I'm not getting the same "amazing" vibe from it that everyone else has. I'm not sure about anyone else currently, I'll try post more if I see someone good! ;o
January 5, 201114 yr Predictions for 2011: Sugababes Britney Gaga Cher Lloyd Alexis Jordan Jessie J The Veronicas Frankmusik Esmee Denters Cheryl Cole Nicki Minaj Sugababes are my favourite act of all time. I'm expecting a return to top form from these 3 :D Gaga and Britney are most likely going to return with some killer tracks. Alexis Jordan and Jessie J are looking very likely to become big features in my chart through the upcoming year. The Veronicas and Frankmusik's past offerings literally blew me away, very excited for there upcoming albums! Same with Esmee I'm predicting a re-release from Wor Chezza, with the first single being my number 1 :kink: And theres no denying Nicki Minaj was queen of my chart 2010, but her title could be in grave danger if we get releases from Cher Lloyd this year.
