See, you're not too bad! :) It's okay to like Gaga, but some people seem to borderline worship her!

I think the Gaga is probably the most overrated artist since I've started following mainstream music properly. Like JLS get lots of #1s, and Justin Bieber gets lots of youtube views, and things like that, but people are constantly criticizing them, to the point that I actually think their songs are underrated, but with Lady Gaga it just seems so one-sided, in general. Also, with the Lady Gaga/Madonna thing, that's another thing that annoys me a bit. How people expect her to be around in 30 years. If I said I expect Katy Perry to be around in 30 years, I'd be mocked. And the funny thing is, I bet when Usher got his first UK #1 in 1998, people would've laughed if someone suggested he'd have one of the biggest songs in the world in 2010.

If You see comments on youtube GaGa is really hated! Bad Romance has more than 60 000 dislikes!

Why not expect an artist to be around in another 30 years. She's so young! It's an artist you like and hope to be like this for years! And i said "maybe". Because maybe her next (mm not her next actually..but maybe her 3rd or 4th) album, may not perform as well and sometime she may flop! But still i want her to be around in 30 years (although most probably i won't listen to her  )

Of course, you can want an artist to be around for 30 years. Just that if someone suggests Gaga will be around in 30 years, nobody bats an eye-lid, but if you suggest JLS will be, you become the laughing stock. Do you know what I mean? I doubt either will be around in 30 years, but we can't know the future. Look how long Jay-Z has been around!

Like I saw a thread of another forum. It was something like "Which artists do you think will be remembered in the future for their talent" (and the word "talent" was in bold, which basically means you can't list urban artists :(), and then most people listed a load of artists from the 70's and 80's, and then Lady Gaga!?! Do you know what I mean. Things like that just annoy me so much! She is a good singer, but her songs are so boring (in my opinion), and she's only been around for 3 years.

Music released, definitely! It's primarily about the music for me, because at the end of the day, that's what I'm listening to. If an artist I like can't sing, so what? I don't have any live versions of songs on my mp3 player (apart from You Got the Dirtee Love, and I think I have a live version of Numb/Encore, and probably a couple of others too). But most of what I listen to, if they even contain vocals in the first place, are studio recordings. Artists are given a decent amount of time to get their vocals right, so even those that aren't great live singers can get it pretty decent after a few tries, and if all comes to the worst, there's the technology to touch it up a bit.

You know how to support your opinion! Although i totally disagree with you i can't find you wrong!

Well, for me voice is really important! Not fake voice but the real one. I want the act that i like to be as good live as on the studio version. Apart from GaGa, the rest of acts i like is mainly alternative, indie, rock and i usually follow them on tour! Imagine going in a concert and what you hear is awful or playback? And, furthermore, i buy music and i expect the voice i hear is not machines!

Why not list urban acts? If an artist is good it doesn't matter the kind of music he supports! I always say that quality exist in every kind of music! 2pac was genius and he represents hip hop!

Glad to see Rihanna winning. Gaga just hasn't been around long enough to compete. Rihanna is no legend but she's interesting and consistent. She should stay away from the ballads and from Eminem.

Think Katy's about to fall from BJ's top 3 flavours of the month thanks to you know who's comeback yesterday...

GaGa >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> RiRi >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> KaTy

:D
